⛳️ A little rain never stopped a good time

Last Saturday, we were proud to sponsor and participate in the 7th Annual Gibbs Golf Outing benefiting Gibbs Eagles Football! 🦅🏈 We had one Interstate team hit the course, plus a second team alongside one of our vendor partners — and despite the wet weather, there were plenty of laughs and a little friendly competition along the way.

Interstate has multiple connections to the Gibbs community, and most recently, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside Gibbs High School students through the Hero’s Hill Veterans Tiny Home Build. Opportunities like these go beyond a day on the golf course — they allow us to continue building relationships with the schools, students and people in the communities we serve.

We may not have brought home the trophy, but we had a great time trying. 😜

We’re grateful to Gibbs for inviting us to be part of the day and always thankful for another opportunity to support our community!

We’re proud to celebrate Doss Howell, who recently reached his 10-year milestone with Interstate! 👏 (Even if this celebration is a overdue!) Doss joined the team on January 25, 2016, and has grown alongside Interstate Mechanical Service every step of the way. Starting as an HVAC apprentice, Doss worked his way into becoming an HVAC technician, then Service Manager, and today serves as the HVAC Director for IMS, overseeing HVAC service operations and logistics.

Doss was one of the original grassroots employees who helped shape IMS into what it is today after becoming its own company apart from IMC. Over the years, he’s helped lead through major transitions, challenges, and changes—and through it all, he’s remained steady, loyal, and fully committed to the Interstate team.

He’s the kind of leader who jumps in when situations get difficult, whether that means helping with challenging customers, supporting his team, or making tough decisions to keep operations moving forward. Doss does a great job balancing what’s best for the customer while also standing behind and supporting his team.

Known for being calm under pressure, innovative, and highly respected by those around him, Doss is constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, strengthen the team, and help others succeed. He leads with humility, works hard, treats people with respect, and truly embodies what it means to be humble, hungry, and smart.

What a great night we had last Friday! Huge thank you to our friends at TIS Insurance Services for sharing their suite with us for the Smokies game! ⚾️🦜

The theme of the night was Margaritaville, so we showed up ready for Jimmy Buffett, cheeseburgers in paradise, and a good time. Even with the rain, it ended up being one of those evenings you’re just thankful for: good people, good music, fireworks, and great conversation.

We always enjoy working with , and it’s especially meaningful anytime we get to spend time at Covenant Health Park seeing a project our team had the opportunity to be part of come to life for the community.

These kinds of nights are a good reminder that what we do is about more than just buildings and systems. It’s about the people, partnerships, and community we get to help build along the way. Grateful for all of it.
