Looking to hire Climber/Rigger to join our company.
The Crew Climber/ Rigger is a skilled position responsible for tree maintenance, pruning and removals on residential and commercial properties using rope, harness, saddle, and/or company bucket truck in accordance with company policy.
Crew Climber/ Rigger Requirements:
Ability to tie tree industry knots and rigging.
Primary duties include climbing, rigging at heights for tree trimming and removal, including placement and use of high bucket vehicle in discussion with crew leader, and must be knowledgeable of those required skills for trimming/removal in a safe manner for crew, equipment and customer job site.
Learns, understands and adheres to all safety rules
When not working at heights, work with ground crew at the direction of the crew leader.
Valid Divers license and clean driving record.
Typical start time:
7AM in summer
8-9 in winter

FORT KLAMATH FLAGPOLE RESTRUNG –

Our 34-star flag is flying once again at the Fort Klamath Museum after we got help from a local tree care company to replace the rope.

After our efforts to restring the 60-foot-tall flagpole using the old rope failed last month, we contacted Goldanbrown Tree Service in Klamath Falls to ask for a price quote for them to use a lift truck to do the job.

The company offered to do the job for free, and installed the new rope Thursday. The donation of equipment and labor is much appreciated.

When the military post was an active from 1863 to 1889, the flagpole stood at the center of the fort’s parade grounds. A remnant of the original pole was located when the site was obtained by county government in 1966 for a park and museum. The new flagpole – made of steel – stands just a few feet away from the original.

The Fort Klamath Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. six days a week through the end of September. Closed on Wednesdays. Admission is free with donations appreciated.

Looking to hire Tree Groundsman

We are searching for a skilled tree groundsman to join our company. The tree groundsman’s duties include reporting to the lead crew member, assisting arborists, collecting and piling branches, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. You should be able to work with a variety of crew members.

To be successful as a tree groundsman, you should be physically strong and able to work in extreme weather conditions. Outstanding tree groundsmen should be able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all maintenance tasks to the highest standard.

Tree Groundsman Responsibilities:
Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the lead crew member.
Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
Assisting Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals.
Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members.
Safely using tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance tasks.
Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of hazards.
Inspecting equipment and tools and performing repairs and maintenance when required.
Using the appropriate gear and observing safety protocols.
Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or other relevant parties.
Adhering to company and environmental regulations at all times.

Tree Groundsman Requirements:
Previous work experience as a tree groundsman or similar.
Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing.
The ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop.
The ability to transport heavy items.
Excellent balance and depth perception.
Superb communication skills.
The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
The willingness to work during unfavorable weather conditions.
A positive attitude.
