Confession time. Who else cranks the heat all the way up on a frosty morning hoping the house warms up faster? 🙋
We get it, but you should know that your furnace puts out heat at the same speed no matter what number you pick. A higher setting just means it runs longer and burns through more fuel.
A few smarter thermostat moves:
✅ Lower your setting by 7 to 10 degrees for about 8 hours while everyone’s out. The U.S. Department of Energy says that can save you up to 10% a year on heating and cooling.
✅ Always forget? Set a quick phone reminder.
✅ Or let a smart thermostat handle it with scheduling, remote control and usage tracking right on your screen.
