Sometimes simple is exactly what you need.

This is one of the most common doors we install — a clean, straightforward almond 25-gauge steel garage door.

It’s a great option for homeowners who want to replace an old or damaged door without overcomplicating the project.

A new steel garage door can give you:

✅ A cleaner, updated appearance
✅ Smoother and more reliable operation
✅ Better overall fit and function
✅ A durable, low-maintenance replacement
✅ A fresh look without going overboard on cost

Not every garage door replacement has to be custom, decorative, or expensive.

Sometimes a simple steel door in the right color is all it takes to completely clean up the look of the home and get everything working the way it should again.

If your current garage door is damaged, worn out, or simply ready to be replaced, give The Garage Door Guys a call.

Garage Door Won’t Close? Check Your Safety Sensors First.

One of the most common reasons a garage door opener suddenly refuses to close is actually one of the simplest things to check: the safety sensors near the bottom of the tracks.

If one gets bumped, twisted, or knocked slightly out of alignment, the opener may think something is blocking the doorway.

Depending on the opener, you may notice:

⚠️ The opener light flashing
⚠️ A clicking sound
⚠️ The door starting to close, then reversing
⚠️ The door refusing to close with the remote or wall button

Sometimes the fix is as simple as gently straightening the sensor so both sides are pointing directly at each other again.

Before scheduling a service call, take a quick look at the sensors:

✅ Make sure nothing is blocking them
✅ Check that both are pointed toward each other
✅ Look for a loose or bumped sensor bracket
✅ Clean off any dirt or debris covering the lens

A little awareness can sometimes save you the cost of an unnecessary service call.

Of course, if the sensors look fine and the door still won’t operate correctly, give The Garage Door Guys a call and we’ll help figure out what’s going on.

Sometimes a garage door doesn’t need to be replaced — it just needs the right parts replaced.

This older garage door had become extremely stiff and noisy when opening and closing.

The rollers were worn out and no longer moving through the track the way they should, which was making the entire door work harder than necessary.

We replaced the old rollers, and the difference was immediate.

✅ Much smoother movement
✅ Less resistance
✅ Quieter operation
✅ Less strain on the rest of the garage door system

Now the door moves freely again instead of fighting its way up and down the tracks.

If your garage door is getting louder, jerking, sticking, or just doesn’t move as smoothly as it used to, worn rollers could be part of the problem.

Give The Garage Door Guys a call and we’ll get it checked out.

Sometimes the problem is a lot simpler than it looks.

We recently went out to a customer whose garage door would only open about halfway before getting stuck. Once we were able to see it in person, we found the cause: the manual slide lock had been engaged, and it was catching inside the track as the door tried to open. That can potentially cause serious damage to the door, track, opener, or other hardware if the opener keeps trying to force the door past it....

Sometimes the problem is a lot simpler than it looks.

We recently went out to a customer whose garage door would only open about halfway before getting stuck.

Once we were able to see it in person, we found the cause: the manual slide lock had been engaged, and it was catching inside the track as the door tried to open.

That can potentially cause serious damage to the door, track, opener, or other hardware if the opener keeps trying to force the door past it.

Fortunately, this customer caught it early.

No damage had been done, so we simply released the lock, checked the door over, and got everything back in normal working condition.

It was a quick fix — but also a good reminder:

If your garage door suddenly stops, binds, or only opens part of the way, don’t keep forcing it. Sometimes the issue is simple. Sometimes it isn’t. Either way, continuing to run the door can turn a small problem into an expensive one.

If your garage door isn’t operating normally, give The Garage Door Guys a call.

A broken spring = one garage door that isn’t going anywhere.

This customer had a pair of broken torsion springs on their garage door, so we removed the failed springs and replaced them with a new matched pair to get the door back up and running properly.

Garage door springs do most of the heavy lifting. When they break, the door can become extremely heavy and the opener may no longer be able to move it safely.

If you notice a visible gap in one of your springs, hear a loud bang from the garage, or your door suddenly won’t open, there’s a good chance you may be dealing with a broken spring.

That’s not a repair we recommend trying to force through with the opener.

Give The Garage Door Guys a call and we’ll get it taken care of safely and correctly.

At the customer’s request, we removed the damaged seal and installed a new one to help close those gaps and provide a better barrier along the door.
