🍂 Summer's over on the Outer Banks, and while the fall weather will be a welcome relief, your water heater is likely nursing a severe post-season hangover.

Let's talk about what happened inside your tank over the last four months: high groundwater temperatures, non-stop heating cycles, and mineral sediment settling and baking onto your heating elements.

Here is why autumn is actually the smartest time for OBX homeowners to audit their water heating system:

High summer usage accelerates mineral buildup. Flushing the tank clears out the baked-on crust before it permanently corrodes your lining.

As coastal inlet temperatures drop this fall, your water heater has to work nearly twice as hard to bring incoming groundwater up to temperature.

Check out our full breakdown on OBX water heater maintenance, corrosion signs, and tankless ROI so you can inspect your system before winter sets in. https://actionplumbingobx.com/tips/5-signs-you-might-need-to-replace-your-water-heater/
