Getaways sure can break up long, frigid Wisconsin winters, but sometimes worries can nag … like what happens if there’s a problem with the furnace? Get a Symphony home comfort platform for your WaterFurnace geothermal system and relax! Symphony marries the Aurora controls of a WaterFurnace system with a WebLink router. It’s cloud-based so there's no software to install. Connect to your geothermal system controls through your home Wi-Fi and your smartphone, tablet or computer. If your system needs service, Symphony emails you. If filters need to be replaced, Symphony reminds you. If you want to monitor energy usage, Symphony lets you compare bills day to day or month to month. As long as you have an internet connection, Symphony has you covered. How about that sump pump malfunction worry? Expand Symphony to get email/text notification in case of sump pump malfunction or washer hose failure. And that’s not all. Options let you monitor other units in other locations – check on the cabin up north or that second home – or precisely control temperatures in up to six zones of your home. If a problem develops, a technician portal allows Advanced Custom Geothermal to remotely troubleshoot. If you are already our customer and own a WaterFurnace 7 or 5 Series water-to-air unit, we can add Symphony as long as you have internet connection. If you are ready for a better way to heat and cool your home with control at your fingertips, contact Advanced Custom Geothermal today to learn more about WaterFurnace geothermal.

An Advanced Custom Geothermal customer called one winter night when the outside temperatures were plummeting. He said his WaterFurnace was working but wondered about the auxiliary backup heat. He explained that it never came on much at normal temperatures, however, since it was nearing minus 24 and didn’t come on, he was worried. He figured he would be fine but asked if we could check it out in the morning. While we were happy to go out the next day, we knew this customer had chosen WaterFurnace’s Symphony, a Wi-Fi-enabled home comfort platform. This platform includes a technician portal that allows ACG to connect with the customer’s WaterFurnace system diagnostics. So while we still had our customer on the phone, we could remotely troubleshoot his system. By checking the hundreds of diagnostic readings that the system takes, we quickly spotted a small problem. A few online adjustments and our customer soon exclaimed: “Hey, the auxiliary power just kicked in. Thanks!” ACG is ready to provide our great customer service in person whenever you need us but WaterFurnace’s evolving technology now can make that service even quicker. SHE’s back today through Sunday in Fond du Lac. SHE is the Super Home Extravaganza. It’s the chance to meet the folks whose businesses you will want for your home and garden projects (including ACG, of course!), attend seminars and have fun. The event runs 4-8 p.m. today, March 23; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Building. Admission is $5 per person with kids 12 and under free. It is sponsored by the Eastern Ridge Home Builders Association, formerly the Home Builders Association of Fond du Lac & Dodge Counties. Among the speakers over the three days will be Chad Muche, “the plant mentor;” Greg Willett of Greg Willett Antiques; and Chef Chanse Schomber. Don’t miss it! Calumet County’s only home and garden show is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 3, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at 2245 Calumet Drive -- the former Tractor Supply store. Of course, ACG will be there to answer your questions and explain the benefits of geothermal! The 2018 Home & Garden Expo will showcase area high school tech ed programs with students raffling projects they designed and constructed. Purchase tickets at the show.
