I didn't start CasaKeepers as a builder. I started as a frustrated homeowner.

I hired contractors, couldn't get a call back, got surprised by the bill, and got handed work I would not accept in my own home. After enough of that, I figured the only fix was to become the kind of remodeler I couldn't find.

That's the whole reason we're here — we remember exactly what it feels like to be on the other side of the table.

The scariest part of a remodel usually isn't the construction. It's the number and not knowing if it's real.

Part of removing the stress from your remodel is providing clear pricing before the first swing of the hammer: what it costs, what it includes, what you can expect. No nebulous guesses, no surprises halfway through.

When you know the plan and the price up front, you get to enjoy the fun part — watching your home become what you pictured.

Your Home. Your Vision. Our Expertise.

You ever see wheat pressed into glass? One of our clients wanted to replicate their favorite cabinet doors from their home in Washington state: real wheat perfectly pressed and epoxy-sealed as cabinet glass.

"Could we do it?" they asked... pffft, of course we can do it.

Their original cabinet makers were no longer in business, but who cares because we find ways to make things happen. Real wheat epoxy-sealed into acrylic that is, well, absolutely stunning. In fact, when another client saw it, they decided they needed it in their kitchen, too, and we can't blame them. Two completely different kitchens, one beautiful application.

Whether you need simple or you envision extraordinary, we're here to bring your ideas to life.

We decided years ago that it makes no sense for our clients to hire a pro (us) and then have to police the work (ever hear of a blue-tape walkthrough?).

So before we ever call a project done, *our team* does the wrap-up walk ourselves — we find what's left, we handle it, and then we show you. You're not the inspector. You hired us to carry that.

We'd rather you spend the end of your project excited, not wondering if the details really do get taken care of.

A while back we finished a shower that looked great and the client was happy with.

And then we tore it out.

It was missing a detail from the design phase, and because doing the right thing is always the right choice around here, we fixed it properly.

The client may have never noticed the difference, but we knew, and that was enough. If it's under your roof, we consider it to be under our care.

How do you modernize a historic home without losing the character that makes it special? That's the question our very own Chad Huber explores in the October issue of Fredericksburg Neighbors.

Chad shares insights on preserving original craftsmanship, making thoughtful updates, and respecting the history behind Fredericksburg's distinctive homes.

We're proud to share his perspective and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our local community.

Honest truth: you'd rather spend the money on a kitchen than on drying out a house. So would we.

So when water forces the walls open anyway, there are two versions of what happens next — one where the before and after look identical, only dry, and one where you finally get the room you've been putting off.

Once we know how far the damage goes, we'll price it both ways and you decide.

Life's too short not to love your home.
