Today we remember the heroes who never made it home. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it’s a reminder that freedom came at the cost of brave men and women who gave everything for this country. Their sacrifice is the reason we get to enjoy the life, family, and community we sometimes take for granted.

To all the families carrying the weight of that loss every day, we see you and we honor your loved ones today and always.

Happy Birthday to our RMP, our very own DJ Hyman. 👨‍🔧❤️♠️

There’s honestly no way to put into words everything this man carries on his shoulders every single day, but today we’re gonna try anyway.

Most people see the trucks, the company, the awards, the growth, the long hours, the “successful business owner” side of things. What they don’t see is the man behind all of it. The one answering calls at all hours. The one losing sleep trying to make sure employees have work, customers are taken care of, bills are paid, and everybody around him is okay before he ever thinks about himself.

They don’t see the dad who comes home exhausted but still gets on the floor with the kids. The husband who keeps pushing even when life is heavy. The boss who would give somebody the shirt off his back if they needed it. The friend who shows up. The provider who has built everything from the ground up through grit, sacrifice, stress, faith, and a whole lot of pressure most people would crumble under.

I’ve watched this man carry the weight of a family, a business, employees and their families, emergencies, setbacks, growth, and life in general and somehow still wake up every day determined to keep going harder than the day before.

People love to celebrate success, but very few talk about what it actually costs someone to build something from nothing. The missed sleep. The constant responsibility. The mental load. The fear of failure. The pressure of knowing other people depend on you.

And yet somehow… DJ still shows up.

Not because it’s easy.
Not because he has to.
But because that’s just who he is.

He has built Royal Flush Plumbing with heart, integrity, loyalty, and pure determination. No shortcuts. No handouts. Just hard work and a refusal to quit.

I know I’m biased, but if you know DJ personally, then you already know this is true:
He is one of the hardest working men you’ll ever meet.

And beyond all of that… he loves HARD. His family, his crew, his people, this community, he pours into all of them constantly even when he’s running on empty.

So here’s to the man behind the scenes that so many people depend on every single day.

🌧️ BEFORE THE RAIN HITS… HERE’S WHAT YOUR HOME MAY BE TRYING TO TELL YOU 👀💧

Most homeowners don’t realize how connected heavy rain, drainage, and your plumbing system actually are.

When the ground becomes saturated, excess water can overwhelm drainage systems, put pressure on aging sewer lines, expose small cracks, and create flooding or backup issues, especially in older homes around the Hill Country.

That’s why we tend to see a huge spike in:
🚩 Sewer backups
🚩 Gurgling toilets
🚩 Slow drains
🚩 Strong sewer odors
🚩 Yard flooding near sewer lines or cleanouts🚩 Standing water around homes, patios, garages, or driveways

One of the biggest warning signs?

🚨 If your toilet bubbles or gurgles when another fixture is draining, your sewer system may not be venting or flowing properly. 🚨

And if rainwater starts pooling around your cleanout, foundation, exterior drains, or low spots in your yard, your drainage or sewer system may already be struggling to keep up.

That’s a wrap on our last career day of the school year! 📚🏫✏️

Huge thank you to Nimitz Elementary School for having DJ and Draven out to talk plumbing, trades, and real life hands-on work with the students today. We always enjoy getting to show kids that there are so many different paths to build a successful future and that skilled trades matter.

From pipe threading to answering questions and talking about what a day in the field really looks like, these two had a great time representing Royal Flush Plumbing and the plumbing industry. 👨‍🔧

Big thanks to all the schools that welcomed us this year. We’re already looking forward to next year’s career days!🙌🏻☺️🚿

Today we celebrate the moms who hold everything together even on the days nobody sees it. The moms running businesses, raising babies, working long hours, showing up exhausted, loving endlessly, and somehow still making everyone else feel taken care of.

We also want to recognize the mothers carrying heavy hearts today. The moms who have lost children, the children missing their mothers, the women longing to become moms, and those navigating today with grief instead of celebration. We see you too.🫶🏻

To every mother figure, grandmother, bonus mom, aunt, caregiver, and woman who pours love into others… thank you for all that you do.

Last Friday definitely tested us a little 🌧️🥶

Rain, cold, and still showed up ready to go. Proud of our guys for representing Royal Flush Plumbing out at the Casa Über Alles Golf Tournament, no complaints, just handled it. 💪🏻

Big thank you to everyone who helped us run the booth and keep things going all day. From setting up, hanging in the rain, to making sure everything ran smooth, we couldn’t have done it without you.
