Just a reminder to everyone with the freezing temperatures!!
Some tips from us to you are..
1-Make sure your heat it working properly!! It is a good idea to keep your thermostat at a constant temperature day and night to maintain the warmth in the home.
2- If you have heat tape, make sure that it is plugged in and working.
3-Open up your cabinets/vanities to allow the heat to get to the pipes
4-Turn your faucet on a slight drip to help prevent your pipes from freezing. (Best is the furthest faucet from your pressure tank)
5-Turn off your outdoor hose spigots and disconnect the hose
6-Verify your sump pump(s) are working
7-If your power goes out during the freezing temperatures the water needs to be drained. It could only take 6 hours for a house to freeze when temperatures are in the 20βs but a poorly insulated house can freeze up in as little as 3 hours!!!
8-With all this snow the fuel delivery services arent delivering if there isnt a clear path to your tanks.. make sure you clear a path
9-if your house does freeze its a good idea to turn off your pump just in case you have any breaks when it thaws so you donβt flood your house
Check your fuel levels asap make sure you have plenty in your tank. We canβt help start your heat again if you donβt have gas or oil.
If you need emergency service give us a call day or night but please be patient as we are working around the clock.
