Her AC kept running. Her fridge stayed cold. Her husband's CPAP machine never missed a breath. While her neighbors were throwing out groceries and sleeping in their cars with the engine running for air conditioning, she was reading a book in a cool house.
She did not have a generator. She did not have a gas can or an extension cord. She had solar panels and a battery system.
