Not all leaking showers require a full replacement. In this case, we were able to resolve the issue by replacing the shower pan and liner and adding additional waterproofing. All of this was completed while maintaining a clean, intentional design and upgrading the shower to frameless glass for a more refined finish.
A leaking shower pan is one of the most common and most damaging issues we see in bathrooms. When a shower pan fails, water can migrate beneath tile and into framing, subfloors, and adjacent rooms long before visible signs appear. In this case visible water pooling was detected in their closet just behind the shower.
Addressing a leaking shower pan early can prevent structural damage, mold growth, and significantly higher repair costs. Proper installation, waterproofing, and drainage are critical to long-term performance. If you suspect an issue, a professional evaluation can determine whether a localized repair or a full pan replacement is the correct solution.
Water damage rarely fixes itself—early detection makes all the difference.
