This is what a full kitchen transformation looks like. 🔨

This one was a little more than swapping out a few cabinets. 😅

We took this kitchen from the original oak cabinetry and dated finishes, through full demo and reconstruction, and completely changed the look and feel of the space.

The project included new white shaker cabinetry extended to the ceiling, glass display uppers, crown and finished trim details, granite countertops with a full-height granite backsplash, updated lighting and electrical, under cabinet led lights and glass door cabinet led lighting, new flooring, and custom finish work throughout the kitchen and adjoining living area.

One of my favorite things about remodeling is looking back at the before pictures after the job is finished. Sometimes you forget just how far a space came.

Swipe through and check out the transformation. 👉
If you're thinking about remodeling your kitchen or bathroom, we'd love the opportunity to take a look at your project.

This one has been a transformation!
It's crazy looking back at where we started compared to where this kitchen is now. New cabinets, countertops, full-height granite backsplash, flooring, lighting, trim work and a whole lot more.
We're down to the final details and I can't wait to share the finished pictures. 👀

A beautiful bathroom remodel starts with doing the important work beneath the surface.

This project began with rot under the toilet. We repaired the damaged subfloor, installed a solid new surface, and made sure the foundation was ready for the finished flooring and fixtures.

Instead of replacing everything, we made smart remodeling choices: the existing vanity was professionally painted, then paired with an updated countertop, sink, faucet, and fresh finishes. The result is a clean, refreshed bathroom with lasting craftsmanship: and a practical approach that helped preserve what was still worth keeping.

At Tarheel Design Build, we believe quality remodeling is about more than appearances. It’s about finding the right solutions for each home and getting the details right from the ground up.

Every custom space starts with a vision: and this bourbon room came together one detail at a time.

Yeah, we do that too.

From a blank canvas to custom built-ins, illuminated bottle shelving, beverage refrigeration, a coffered wood-plank ceiling, and a statement antler chandelier, this transformation is all about thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship.

The finished space is built for entertaining, showcasing a collection, and enjoying time at home: including full approval from the four-legged supervisor on the floor.

At Tarheel Design Build, we create custom spaces that reflect how you live and what you love. Ready to transform a room in your North Carolina home? Visit tarheeldesignbuild.com to learn more. 🥃

Most people think a kitchen remodel starts with swinging a hammer on Day 1, but that's not how we do it.

Day 1 is when we sit down, agree on the design, sign the contract, and get those cabinets ordered. From there, we line up all our trades with plenty of notice so we can make this project as seamless as possible and inconvenience your daily life as little as possible. That’s how you do a remodel right.

I wanted to share a little more of the story behind this project.

The first picture was the only reference I was given—no measurements, no plans, and no additional details. The general contractor asked if I could build it. I told him yes, and the following pictures show the process and the finished product.

I do use AI to help with marketing and presenting my work professionally, but the projects I share as my work are real projects that I personally built or completed through Tarheel Design Build. I will never use an AI-generated image and represent it as my craftsmanship.
