This weekend is National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.

We pause to honor the courage, service, and sacrifice of firefighters across our nation—especially those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

With the many fires Nebraska has faced this year, our gratitude runs even deeper. We are thankful for every firefighter who shows up, runs toward danger, and protects our communities without hesitation.

We remember the fallen. We honor the living. And we stand grateful for their service.
