When Brodstone Healthcare needed a new speciality clinic for 16,000 square feet, they contacted us to help manage the renovations.

Taking a vital hospital space out of use isn’t always practical for a busy, rural hospital. Through careful, collaborative planning, we maintained services and the addition of a conference center, physical therapy with a track and a therapy pool, pharmacy, and gift shop.

The ribbon is cut! ✂️

Thank you to the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce and everyone from the Fremont community who joined us to celebrate the official opening of BD Construction's new BD Construction Fremont office this morning. The turnout was incredible. We're grateful for the warm welcome and your support.

This office brings our experienced, dynamic team closer to the clients and communities we serve across eastern Nebraska. Having people on the ground here means stronger support for our projects and quicker response in that part of the state.

We're proud to put down roots in Fremont. Stop by and say hello!

Congratulations to Model Electric, our August Subcontractor of the Month!

This recognition is awarded to subcontractor partners who consistently perform at a high level and go above and beyond to help keep projects moving forward safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The Model Electric team has done exactly that on the Clarkson Public Schools project. Before summer even began, they were planning ahead by adding crew members, extending hours, and working weekends to keep the project on track during a critical stretch of work.

As BD Site Superintendent Brandon Wagner shared:

"Model Electric has been a huge help in getting us through the summer here at Clarkson. Without Model on site, this could have been a much rougher summer."

Brandon also recognized Model's Foreman, Joe Jessen, for his leadership on site. Joe keeps his team focused on the work at hand while also looking ahead to prepare for upcoming phases. He has been consistently responsive and makes sure the right crews are on site exactly when they're needed.

To recognize their achievement, team members working on the Clarkson project were presented with t-shirts.

We appreciate the planning, responsiveness, and hard work the Model Electric team brings to the jobsite every day. Thank you for helping us build progress together!

Congratulations to Bertrand Community School on the ribbon cutting for its renovated Career and Technical Education space!

The updated space gives students dedicated wood, metal and auto shop areas, along with upgraded welding equipment and a plasma cutter. These are places to practice hands-on skills and explore paths into the trades, the workforce or further education.

BD Construction is proud to have helped bring this project together, working alongside Wilkins Architecture Design Planning. Thank you to the school and everyone who worked on the renovation. We can’t wait to see what Bertrand students make here and in their future careers.

The future of Nebraska construction looks bright… and very yellow!

Thanks to the schools in St. Paul, Palmer, Centura, and Elba for inviting BD Construction to this year's Career Exploration Fair. We loved meeting students, handing out hard hats and talking about why construction is a career worth considering:

🔨 Earn while you learn. You don't have to spend four years in college before you start making money. On-the-job training lets you build skills while earning a paycheck.

💵 It pays well. In Nebraska, construction jobs average about 12% more per hour than private-sector jobs overall.

📈 You can move up. Start as a laborer or carpenter and work your way up to foreman, superintendent or project manager.

💻 It's more than physical labor. Today's job sites use drones, laser scanners, 3D building models and scheduling software. We need people who are good with their hands, and we also need problem-solvers, organizers and leaders.
