When our customers need us, we do what we can to make it happen. We pride ourselves on being flexible and dependable, and sometimes that means an early morning to make sure fresh sod gets where it needs to go.

Early mornings, long days, and a whole lot of sod. That’s how we roll!

💙 BABY BLUEGRASS & A BABY BOY 💙

There’s a whole lot of new growth happening around the Buysm Sod Farm lately! Our baby bluegrass is coming up beautifully in the field… and we welcomed a little baby boy into the Buysm Sod family! 👶🏼 Two kinds of “baby” we’re pretty excited about!

Our family farm is growing in more ways than one and we’re so thankful for this season of new life, both in the field and at home.

Welcome to the family, little guy. We can’t wait to raise you around dirt, tractors, and plenty of grass!!!

🍂 FALL IS FOR SOD 🍂

Cooler weather is on the way, and that means we’re heading into one of the best times of year to lay new sod! Cooler temperatures and more comfortable conditions is a great time to get your new lawn established before winter.

Not every transformation requires replacing the whole yard! This Johnson Lake project was all about making one strategic change: removing the existing berm and replacing it with fresh, beautiful sod.

Sometimes it’s not about starting over. It’s about changing the right part of the landscape to completely change the look and feel.

Fresh sod gives an instant transformation. And we love seeing the difference a little dirt work and a lot of green can make!

It’s planting season here at Buysm Sod Farm! While you may see bare fields right now, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to prepare the ground for a successful crop.

At Buysm Sod Farm, we typically plant sod twice a year, in the spring and fall. Our fall planting usually happens around Labor Day weekend, depending on weather and soil conditions.

Fall is a great time for us to establish cool season grasses like our Kentucky Bluegrass and DuraTurf Plus 2 Tall Fescue before winter sets in.

We’re getting the ground ready now for another season of growing quality Nebraska sod from the ground up!
