.intl Haul!! I got a few that I wanted for a while, some I had to leave because well… I am simply unable to care for all my plants as I used to. But it’s OK, my new babies are beautiful and I am very happy with what I found! My goal was to find the huperzias and that I did! Until next time, PlantCon!

My Amaryllis is showing off!!

Y’all! My cactus bloomed!! It smells divine. And the birds decided to make a nest in our light fixture. The mama sings so pretty! I’m sure she was screaming at me to stay away from her babies. I love the sounds in my backyard. It’s so calming.

Sometimes I make things.

I recently lost my job. The reasons for letting me go (stated in writing) is my physical limitations. They decided that this was the reason they can give me in writing. I don’t believe it. But alas, here I am without a job. I’m using this time to be productive and complete a few projects and hopefully find another job soon.

I have fibromyalgia and possibly RA. The labs don’t place me far enough into the red for the rheumatologist to be concerned enough to treat me. I pop up red on multiple tests, but barely. It feels like they are waiting for me to be incapacitated and unable to move for them to pay attention and give a crap. Medical gaslighting is so normal for me to experience that it’s easier to deal with the pain on my own. Nonetheless, I persevere and keep going. I keep doing what I love and and that’s creating. I love to use my creativity to create solutions.

This is proof that no one can dictate what I can or cannot do! I may suffer physically after, swollen hands, excruciating muscle pain and stiff joints, but the reward of the accomplishment is worth it.

Two days worth of work, with the help of my father-in-law, it is finished!! I wanted to give Sam a space to place all the trays with food and cooking utensils when she’s grilling, and for Ethan to sit (her sous chef, my bonus kid), so the bench idea was born. The best part - it was all nearly free of cost. I paid for paint and the polyurethane cans only. Everything else I either collected or acquired for free!! The bottom legs and shelf is all treated wood, so it should last a long time. I’m so happy with how it turned out.

I’ve been slacking posting. A lot has been going on. But I have to share my cacti since the weather allowed to bring them back outside. They are loving it!! Those birds are in our backyard. I just adore spring.

In a nutshell.

I am so in love with how this bouquet came out! It matches perfectly with the arrangements. The bride was happy and I’m elated to work with flowers again. Feels amazing to create pretty things.

There is family, and there is chosen family! I am so honored to have been entrusted with making this arrangement for a very special couple who is getting married this upcoming weekend. Bad weather is not going to stop them! Although it’s been a bit since I’ve done wedding flowers, I forgot how much I love creating floral arrangements. Tomorrow I’m going to make the bridal bouquet and I’m so excited!

Added a new light in this corner. This bulb is a lot brighter and stronger. I needed to enhance this corner as some of the plants were just asking for it. But now with the addition of the new palm, I definitely needed more light. I hung the light cord on a spare plant hanger I had. Eventually I’ll add a light shade, but for now this will do. Can’t wait to see these plants thrive!

Please do not kill good bug!! Saw someone post in a plant group and 99% of comments were people freaking out and suggesting to treat and kill the “pest”. I would give anything to get these on my plants!!! Mealy Destroyers are incredible little warriors and should be protected at all cost. Please do not treat them as pests. They are your friend!
