Some outdoor spaces are beautiful. The best ones feel completely connected. ✨

It starts with proportion, sightlines and materials that complement the architecture of the home — then layers in landscaping, lighting, water and outdoor living in a way that feels intentional rather than added on.

That's the difference thoughtful design makes.

Save this for your future pool + outdoor living plans.

A well-designed outdoor space shouldn't have a "best angle."

It should feel intentional from every perspective.

From inside the home.

Across the patio.

Or from above.

When every view works together, great design speaks for itself.

Some investments show up on paper. Others show up in the way you live. 🧡

A well-designed outdoor living space brings the entire backyard together, from the pool and covered living areas to the hardscape, landscaping, and the architecture of the home itself.

When every element is planned as part of one complete vision, you get more than a beautiful backyard. You create a space that gives you more ways to gather, entertain, unwind, and enjoy life at home.

Your favorite room could be outside.

Dinner on the patio. A seat by the fireplace. An evening you’re in no hurry to end.

As we head into cooler months, we’re thinking beyond the pool—about outdoor spaces that make staying home feel even better.

What would you love to add to your backyard?

Let’s start planning. Request a design consultation- Link in Bio

When we're designing a backyard, we're thinking about what happens here once we're gone.

The birthday dinners. Kids running in and out of the water. Friends pulling up another chair. The nights when nobody is quite ready to go inside.

Swipe through to see why the way you'll live in the space matters just as much as the way it looks. 💦

You’ve thought about it long enough. Maybe it’s time to build it.

A custom pool. A spa you’ll actually use year-round. Shade, outdoor living, landscaping and all the details that make the entire space work together.

At Sunset Pools, we design the whole backyard—not just the pool. And if financing is part of your planning, we can help you explore available options for your project.

After we finish a project, we usually spend a few quiet minutes walking the backyard one last time.

Not to inspect the work.

Just to experience it the way the homeowner will.

How the water moves.
How the space opens up as you walk outside.
How every element naturally leads to the next.

That's something you can't appreciate from a blueprint.

It's why we've always believed the best backyards aren't measured by the number of features they have.

They're measured by how effortlessly everything comes together.

That's the standard we bring to every Sunset Pools project.

We love building pools. We also love coming back with new ideas for the people who trust us to build theirs. 💙

Adam, Adam Jr., and I are at PACE in San Diego, spending time with builders, speakers, and vendor partners from across the country. We’re already talking about what we want to share with our Sunset Pools team—from outdoor design and products to the experience we give our clients here in the Houston area.

I also had the opportunity to speak on a social media panel about why we share the real work behind Sunset Pools: the projects, the construction progress, and the people who make it happen.

And yes, meeting two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip and catching up briefly with Hayward CEO Kevin Holleran made for some fun photos! 🏁

Thank you to the Hayward and Paramount teams, speakers, vendor partners, and fellow builders for making PACE such a great few days. We’re excited to bring these conversations home.
