Meet the Reason Behind the Legacy | Our Four Boys
You’ve met Dustin. You’ve met Ashley. You’ve heard about who we are together and what the word “legacy” means to us.
But there’s another part of our story we haven’t introduced yet.
The four biggest reasons we do any of this.
Our boys. 🩵🩵🩵🩵
Behind every long day, late night, risk we’ve taken, problem we’ve had to solve, and dream we’ve decided to chase are four young men watching Mom and Dad build something from the ground up.
And they’re the reason we keep going.
Our goal has never been simply to build successful businesses so that we can be successful.
We want to build something that outlives us.
Something our boys can look at someday and know that Mom and Dad worked, sacrificed, took chances, failed, learned, got back up, and kept going because we wanted to give them a foundation they could build upon.
We don’t know exactly what the future holds for each of them.
They’ll have their own dreams, their own passions, and their own paths to choose—and we want that for them.
But we already see different strengths in each of our boys. Different personalities. Different talents. Different ways of thinking and leading.
And when we imagine the future of Joy Legacy Group, we can’t help but imagine what those four very different young men could someday build together.
Maybe they’ll take what we created and make it bigger than we ever dreamed.
Maybe they’ll change it completely.
Maybe they’ll teach their children what we taught them and one day sit back while the next generation takes its turn leading.
That’s the dream.
Because we’re not building this only for our children.
We’re building for their children.
And hopefully, their children’s children.
We want the Rampy name and the Joy Legacy name to represent something long after we’re gone—family, hard work, integrity, craftsmanship, opportunity, and taking care of the people who come behind you.
Someday, we hope our boys understand why there were late nights, stressful days, sacrifices, risks, and so many conversations that ended with Mom and Dad saying, “We’ll figure it out.”
We were figuring it out for them.
Our four boys aren’t just part of our story.
They’re the reason we’re writing it.
And if we do this right, Ashley and Dustin won’t be the most important chapter of Joy Legacy Group.
We’ll simply be the generation that helped prepare it for the ones who came next.
That’s legacy.
