Another project wrapped up in Smithville! 🌿🧱

There’s something especially rewarding about being invited back. Linda & Marshall trusted Juke KC with another project at their home, and this time we transformed the space underneath their existing deck into a finished, functional outdoor area built to last.

This project included a new paver patio, small retaining wall, drainage improvements and buried downspouts, landscape bed installation, steel edging, landscape fabric, river rock, plant transplanting, and final grading around the new space.

A lot of different pieces — one finished project. That’s exactly the kind of work we love.

Thank you Linda & Marshall for trusting us with your property again. Wonderful people to work for, and we appreciate the opportunity!

Happy Fourth of July from Juke KC. 🇺🇸

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, I’m grateful for the freedom to build something of my own, right here in Kansas City.

My love for this country shows up in the way I do business — through hard work, honest relationships, trusted partnerships, and a growing network of people who care about doing things the right way.

At Juke KC Commercial Landscaping, every project is more than just another job. It’s a chance to build community, support local families, strengthen local businesses, and create outdoor spaces that are built to last.

Proud to be building in Kansas City — one project, one partnership, and one property at a time.

Happy Fourth of July. Stay safe, enjoy the day, and God bless America.

PROBLEM → SOLUTION (Kansas City drainage) 🌧️

This area in the back of the property was acting like a funnel — runoff from the neighbor’s & the client’s yard all drained to the same spot, but water didn’t have a clean exit path. When water can’t leave, it finds its way into places you don’t want it.

The plan: create a new low point, capture the runoff, and give it a clear route out.

What we installed:
✅ Catch basin to collect surface water
✅ French drain to intercept flow and move it efficiently
✅ Fabric separation to keep soils and stone from mixing over time
✅ 2” Ozark decorative river rock for clean, durable coverage
✅ Steel edging (green) for crisp lines and long-term containment
✅ Extended the wall to tie into the neighbor’s fence for a finished edge
✅ Routed discharge to a clean outlet near the driveway so the water exits the property.

This is what “drainage done right” looks like: capture → convey → exit.

If you’ve got standing water, muddy corners, erosion, or runoff that keeps finding the wrong path contact Juke KC today.

⛈️Lots of rain predicated over the next few days. Make sure all that water is moving away from foundations and you’re reducing erosion wherever possible. Water can create problems fast!

It’s always a great idea to bury downspouts. Delivers water where you need it with a clean look. 👌
