A place for everything - and everything in its place” - this is a phrase that designers live by when creating spaces with intentional storage. And because each client is truly so different, so is each project!

Mudrooms are a must anymore. All that kids’ gear. The shoes. The jackets. So, we carved out some space from an existing screened-in porch and a portion of the garage, and were able to significantly expand the footprint of this previously quite small mudroom.

It’s now even got a secondary stackable washer and dryer tucked inside a closet. A standout feature in this space is the decorative painted tile floor by , complemented by cabinetry finished in a custom blue that ties seamlessly into the design.

✨This sweet space came to life as part of a larger floorplan rework in this Mission Hills house. Believe it or not this bedroom was once a long and awkward primary bathroom and closet. When baby #3 came along it made more sense to redesign the square footage into an additional bedroom.

The soft pink palette using , thoughtfully chosen by , gives just the right balance of whimsy and timelessness, doesn’t it?

And don’t worry about mom and dad. They may have lost this space to their daughter, but they got a primary bathroom and closet room addition instead. Mom’s is the hot pink closet you may have already seen in our feed.

Design doesn’t stop once you step outside 😉

After giving this kitchen some extra breathing room with a pretty big addition, we made sure the exterior kept up. Do you see the hidden “F”? While the original iron gate had to be rebuilt (which was great because it gave us the opportunity to run gas lines to those lanterns) the clients had the great idea of nodding to the original homeowners who had first integrated the initial of their last name into the spokes.

This addition gave us the chance to create the most lovely family room. Previously, this square footage was alllll screened-in porch. While it was a nice space (and huge!) it had its limitations. Like only being useful for a small fraction of the year, yet taking the entire width of the home.

Thus, we drew up this gorgeous family room connected to the kitchen through a cased opening. Now they get to use it daily, not annually. We even managed to squeeze in a more reasonably sized screened porch on the north end of the house.

Revealing another photo of this gorgeous Mission Hills home, to showcase the butler’s pantry just off of the kitchen.

Microwaves can be surprisingly tricky to place. They tend to like to take up a lot of visual weight, even for being on the smaller end of appliances.

For this kitchen, we tucked it into the pantry to keep the main space looking clean. This pantry also becomes home to trays, serving pieces - all the hosting essentials.
