For this Mission Hills Tudor, we kept the floor plan exactly where it needed to be and let the materials do the talking. Clean cabinetry, beautiful marble, and thoughtful details gave the kitchen a refreshed feel without taking away from the home’s character.

This was also one of the first kitchens we ever did with a slab backsplash, and we even carried the marble around the window jamb, which felt a little ahead of its time back then. Our client had the vision, and our fabricator made it happen.

Part two of this house remodel is on the way. We completed this kitchen a few years ago, and now we’re back at this beautiful Brookside home, turning our attention to the sunroom.

It felt right to bring this one back to the feed, especially since we get to continue working with these lovely clients in such a stunning home.

An entry into the kitchen can easily become a drop-zone disaster, or it can work hard to keep everyday life organized. We designed this built-in cabinetry to hold everything from phone charging stations to stamps and mailing supplies, along with all the little essentials that tend to live in a kitchen but don’t belong in a random junk drawer.

Just to the right of this tailored space, entering into the kitchen, is a bar - ready for hosting or a well-earned after-work cocktail.

Preserving a home matters to us. With the cosmetic updates we made to this exterior, our goal was to keep the character of this Tudor-style home intact while bringing the house out of its blue era (see last slide for the before!). Thoughtful changes can make a big impact, especially when they’re designed to feel like they’ve always belonged.

A high-gloss aubergine island? A breakfast nook with a custom banquette? Yes, please.

Pair that with bold kitchen design and architectural details that feel right at home in this 112-year-old house, and you have a winning combination.

This breakfast nook is tucked perfectly into the kitchen corner, where natural light pours in.

A fixture adds just the right amount of interest, while coffered ceilings carry through the remainder of the kitchen and set the tone for the entire space.

Over the statement island, pendants bring in warmth and dimension. Since these clients love bold pops of color, we layered in colorful decor from to echo that same energy throughout the shoot.

Our new Mission Hills home is coming together layer by layer, and this mudroom is one of my favorite spaces so far.

The mix of beadboard backsplash, inset cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a neutral-but-warm palette keeps the whole space feeling easy to live in.
