Today, the The University of Kansas Gateway District project team celebrated the topping out of the bowl steel on the new east grandstands at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium alongside our partners Clark Construction Group, Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, and Sunflower Development Group.

This achievement represents the successful installation of more than 1,200 tons of structural steel for the east side of the new stadium bowl, marking a major step in the ongoing transformation that will deliver an elevated gameday experience for students, fans, and the entire Lawrence community.

Huge shoutout to the hundreds of skilled workers putting in the long hours to keep this phase of the project on track and bring a reimagined stadium experience to life that supports both Kansas Jayhawks and the broader campus.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Mr. William H. Dunn Sr.

Mr. Dunn, whose leadership of JE Dunn Construction spanned more than seven decades and whose legacy is defined by extraordinary generosity, passed away on Sunday, May 31. A philanthropist, mentor, leader, and more, we are eternally grateful for his passion and commitment to JE Dunn Construction and the entire Kansas City community.
