Our work with The Golden Scoop has given us the opportunity to be part of a mission that goes far beyond architecture.

After working on both of their Overland Park locations, we’re proud to continue supporting their work to create meaningful employment and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

On October 12, the Slaggie team will be joining The Golden Scoop Open at Brookridge Golf Club to support that mission beyond the spaces we’ve helped design.

We’re grateful to work alongside organizations making a meaningful impact in our community.

A cause worth riding for. 🚲🌻

Earlier this month, Slaggie Architects’ Scott Keller and Alan Kovar joined more than 350 riders for the 24th Annual Sunflowers to Roses Bike Tour in Overland Park.

Sunflowers to Roses (S2R) raises funds to provide support and resources for individuals and families facing cancer in our community. Scott has supported the organization and its mission year after year, and we’re proud to see our team continuing to show up for causes that make a difference.

The Iowa Tribe’s Housing Authority is providing leading edge sustainable Housing in their community; 3-d concrete printed houses. Slaggie Architects, Inc. is the Architect assigned to assist the Authority and Nuweh, LLC in this endeavor to provide affordable and sustainable housing.

Located on the tribe’s property outside of Rulo, Nebraska, this 14- unit housing project will be comprised of single-family homes; constructed in large part utilizing a 3-d concrete printing technology while still affording its residents all of the comforts of home in a sustainable, welcoming environment.

Additionally, this technology allows a shortened construction schedule compared to traditional construction methods, extraordinary insulating properties, affordable operating costs, and a solid structure to withstand all that mother nature may bear.

SAI is pleased to be part of this exciting journey in improving the lives of the Iowa Tribe.
