Three members of the Clarkson team traded their work boots for running shoes and took over the Hot Dog Derby during last night's Kansas City Royals game. With an all-Clarkson lineup, we knew one thing for sure: we couldn't lose!

In the battle of the buns, Mustard (aka Project Manager W***y Bredar) crossed the finish line first, earning some serious office bragging rights.

Way to run, guys!

Earlier this week, crews on the Improve I-70 Kansas City project placed more than 250 cubic yards of concrete across 600 feet of the eastbound on-ramp near Manchester Trafficway, followed by another 140 cubic yards for 600 feet of new shoulder along eastbound I-70.

This week's pours bring us one step closer to reopening the right lane of eastbound I-70 and the U.S. 40 on-ramp to eastbound I-70 in the coming weeks!

Weather permitting, the team expects to finish the remaining concrete pours in this phase by the end of the week.

Great work by our paving crews, the Clarkson-Radmacher Joint Venture team, and everyone working behind the scenes keeping the Improve I-70 KC project moving forward.

We're proud to the best in the industry on our team, but we especially love it when others notice, too!

A member of the public recently gave Thomas Rodriguez, Assistant Project Manager in our Truesdale office, a shoutout on Facebook after Thomas stopped to help when a trailer tire blew out along I-70. Thomas pulled over and helped change the tire, stepping in when he saw someone who could use a hand.

As Clarkson continues to grow in the St. Louis region, moments like this reflect exactly the kind of neighbor and community partner we want to be! We are lucky to have people like Thomas representing Clarkson and living our values wherever they go.

Way to go, Thomas, and a big thank you to the person who took the time to share their story and give one of our awesome employees a well-deserved shout out.

As Construction Su***de Prevention Week comes to a close, the message we've shared across our jobsites doesn't stop here: 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗜𝗻. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗨𝗽.

Take the time to know your crew, check in when someone seems off, and speak up when you need support or when you're concerned about someone else.

We're proud to have joined teams across the country this week in bringing greater awareness to mental health and su***de prevention in construction.

This morning, we gathered with members of the Clarkson-Radmacher Joint Venture team on the Improve I-70 Kansas City project to continue the conversation around Construction Su***de Prevention Week.

Our 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗜𝗻. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗨𝗽. message is simple: know the people you work alongside, take the time to ask how they're doing, and speak up when you or someone else may need support.

On a project this large, teamwork goes beyond the work itself. It means knowing your crew, checking in, and looking out for one another every day.

As part of our observation of Construction Su***de Prevention Week, our St. Louis-area team gathered on Monday evening at our Truesdale office for a stand down focused on mental health, su***de prevention, and connection.

Bringing our day and night shifts together gave team members a chance to connect with co-workers they might not see every day, talk through our 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗜𝗻. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗨𝗽. message, and reinforce the importance of knowing your crew and recognizing when someone might need support.

Safety means taking care of the whole person. On the job or away from work, no one should feel like they have to handle the tough stuff alone.
