As a roofing company, we see what real damage storms can do and we make sure to educate homeowners on what we see any chance we get!

Most hail and wind damage is invisible from your driveway. It shows up as bruised mats and broken seals...
Hail rarely punches a hole through a shingle. What it does is bruise the mat underneath and knock the granules loose, which strips the shingle's UV protection and starts the clock on a leak. Wind does something similar. It breaks the adhesive seal without moving the shingle, so everything looks normal until the next driving rain.
