Transforming unused space into a vibrant campus sanctuary! 🌿✨We wrapped up exterior upgrades at Saint Luke's Health System Hospital of Kansas City, collaborating with JE Dunn Construction, IMEG, and Lorax Design Group to reimagine a former vehicle drop-off area into a dedicated, lively pedestrian plaza and green space for staff and visitors to gather, share a meal, or take a quick walk outdoors.

To revitalize the space, the team removed the old vehicle drive and guard shack, raising the concrete to build a seamless pedestrian footprint. Beautiful Corten steel planters and expanded landscaping beds bring fresh greenery and mature trees to the plaza, while new pedestrian lighting keeps the area bright and welcoming. Complete with durable concrete benches, outdoor dining furniture, and perimeter security fencing, this redesigned courtyard gives the campus community a safe, beautiful area of respite.

Great day on the green for an even better cause! We were proud to sponsor and volunteer at the Putt-Putt Challenge and field a group of golfers at this year's Research Golf Classic for The Research Foundation.

The Research Foundation plays such a vital role in Kansas City, investing in health-centered programs, supporting healthcare students and professionals, and lifting up local patients. We’re honored to play a small part in advancing their mission. Already looking forward to next year!

Creating spaces that foster independence, practical growth, and real-world confidence.

We are so proud to partner with leaders like Principal Jenna Vicomi at Community Connections at Pinckney. The new simulated apartments were designed specifically to give students hands-on learning environments that prepare them for successful independent living and employment. These apartment-style classrooms are already making a tangible, everyday difference for students across Lawrence Public Schools!

With the clock ticking down to the first day of school, we’re taking you along for a full day on-site across Lawrence Public Schools. Join Project Designer Michael Twitchel and Principal Doug Loveland as we hit the active construction sites, check on progress, and make the final push to get these spaces ready for students.

Pulling off a multi-site summer crunch takes an incredible team. We’re tagging along with key partners who helped bring these projects across the finish line: Dr. Larry Englebrick (Deputy Superintendent, Lawrence Public Schools) and his combined facilities team, Eddie Phillips (Norton & Schmidt Consulting Engineers), and Allen Lankford (Lankford Fendler + associates).
