el camino crítico —
Every creative project, from construction to crochet, has a starting point. The finish takes more: knowing where you’re headed and who you need to get there.
We call that the critical path. Heroes, guides, obstacles, timelines, tile orders, budget constraints, city permitting, the occasional villain.
We live by this idea, our process really to getting the work done. It guides everything we do. Like, “You’re over budget, but we can show you a path to get to your vision.” Most recently, the Critical Path helped us trim nearly a third off a seven-figure project. Skillz, y’all.
So we introduced the Critical Path to the insanely talented Taylor Triano of Commonwild Flag Co. (daughter of Nick, RM’s first plumber). Of course, she already knew her own version, most creatives do. We asked her to make us a pirate flag for our shop—we’ve wanted this for years. She brought the idea to canvas, added gestures of our love for Mexico, and hand stitching made it real. Voilà.
Know what’s critical. Find your people. Keep going.
