It has been 1,250 days since March 17, 2023.
That's the day of my very first service as an independent pest control company owner.

The software system I use started off my invoices at #5000. I guess it's like the old system when you ordered checks and they didn't want to give you check #001 because sometimes companies refused them.

Anyways... I just crossed a big threshold in issuing invoice #10,000.

So that's 5,000 invoices in 1,250 days or 4 a day.
But if you take 1,250 divided by 7 for weeks that's approximately 178 weeks. So then 178 x 2 = 356 (Saturdays and Sundays that I try to not work)
1250 - 356 = 894 days (m-f)
5000 ÷ 894 = about 6 a day.

My original goal was to get to 4 a day and a certain price point I could keep the mortgage paid.
The first year I was in business was extremely sloooow compared to today.
I'm looking at buying my 2nd van soon and hoping to hire my first tech soon too!

Lots of roaches! Sometimes you can see where they're hiding or hoarding easily... sometimes you find out where they're hiding after your initial spray.
We ended up removing the baseboard trim and even more came out.
It is crazy how gross my job can be.
It is crazy how fascinating my job can be.
