The Builders’ Association is a full-service, nonprofit commercial construction trade association. We represent more than 800 general contractor, subcontractor, supplier and service provider member companies employing about 20,000 people. With over 125 years of service to the commercial construction industry, we also operate training and plan room service centers in Kansas City, Jefferson City and

Springfield, as well as our Education & Training Center in North Kansas City. The Builders’ Association’s sister organization, the Kansas City Chapter, AGC, currently represents over 130 firms and is part of the AGC of America, the largest and oldest national construction trade association in the United States. With a broad range of hi-tech and traditional services, The Builders’ Association is positioned for a strong future. In recent years, we have become a leader in the development and delivery of web-based education and training among construction trade associations, and continue to expand our services in this area. The Builders’ Association has embraced the fast-evolving digital landscape with innovative services designed to give our member companies a competitive edge. Members use the Builders’ EPR (electronic plan room) to find projects, bid work, and increase their revenue. The new ProjectConX platform supports not only the bid process but the entire project management process throughout construction. While our efforts to develop and refine our services are ongoing, our mission remains the same: “The Builders’ Association shall provide high quality and valued services that contribute to the betterment of each individual member and the construction industry.”

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. William H. Dunn Sr., a respected leader and longtime advocate for the construction industry.

Mr. Dunn served as Chairman of The Builders in 1988 and helped lead the organization into its 101st year. His leadership, dedication and commitment to advancing the construction industry left a lasting impact on our association, our members and the region.

We are grateful for his service and the legacy he leaves behind. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues during this time. 🤍
