NEW PROJECT | Ellison Apartments - SWD Architects brought its historic restoration expertise to the Ellison Apartment building located in Kansas City, Missouri. This historic apartment hotel was designed by acclaimed local architect Nelle Peters in the English Gothic style and built in 1927. The building was first renovated in 2004 utilizing historic tax credits while its current renovation is brought about through affordable housing and historic tax credits.

The scope of work consists of renovating 68 apartments and restoring common spaces and exterior elements that have fallen into disrepair. SWD Architects is proud of our role in the restoration of this historic apartment building and the affordable housing it will provide for area residents.
