Global Safety Director Cody Schmidt and Project Accountant Wyatt Novak spent the week in Louisville, Kentucky, representing our team at the NUCA: National Utility Contractors Association's 2026 Safety & Damage Prevention Conference.

Throughout the week, they explored topics ranging from DOT inspections, transportation safety, and OSHA citations to safety leadership and mental health. The conference also provided an opportunity to connect with construction professionals from across the country to share ideas, strengthen safety efforts, and learn new approaches to industry challenges.

Thanks to Cody and Wyatt for representing Global and bringing valuable insights back to our team! Building a strong safety culture takes all of us, and opportunities like this help us continue learning, improving, and looking out for one another.

𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗡𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.

Moving dirt is what we do — and we've moved a lot of it this year. Our Global Earthwork & Underground crews have officially surpassed 2 MILLION cubic yards of dirt moved so far in 2026.

From mass excavation and site grading to preparing the groundwork for major developments, our teams and equipment are hard at work transforming jobsites and keeping projects on track.

It's a milestone made possible by the experience and teamwork of our field crews. Thank you to everyone helping move our projects forward!

The next generation of builders is getting Hard Hat Ready, and we're excited to be a part of it!

Global is proud to serve as a Hard Hat Ready Industry Ambassador with The Builders AGC this school year, helping high school students explore careers in architecture, engineering, construction, and the skilled trades.

The program is all about giving students real-world exposure, industry connections, and credentials that can help them step onto a jobsite ready to learn and get to work. We're looking forward to helping students see just how much opportunity there is to build a career from the ground up!

Global Earthwork & Underground was recently honored with two national awards from Ryan Companies US, Inc., recognizing our team's commitment to safety, partnership, community, and project success — but the recognition didn't stop there!

As part of the 2026 Successful Together Award, Ryan Companies made a $1,000 donation in Global's honor to our friends at Operation Breakthrough, helping support an organization doing incredible work for children and families in Kansas City.

As our team continues to grow, so does our commitment to giving back to the community we call home. We're grateful to Ryan Companies for helping us turn this recognition into an opportunity to make a difference beyond the jobsite!

Each quarter, Global teams from across the region come together to connect, share updates, and reinforce our company's top priority: safety.

Our Safety Team was joined by project executives, project managers, HR, and other team members to cover everything from recruiting (check out the current job openings on our website!) and new hires to upcoming projects, safety updates, recent wins, and recognition of our Safety Champions of the Quarter.

The strong turnout reflects the culture we’re building at Global — one where we look out for each other, stay open to learning, and continually find ways to improve.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate and engage, and a special shoutout to our Safety Team for the planning, coordination, and great content that brings these meetings together.

As our team continues to grow in Kansas City, so does our commitment to giving back to the community we call home, and we're proud of the employees who help bring that commitment to life.

Today, we're highlighting Project Manager Jarred Estrada and his work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City RISE fundraising committee. Over the past several months, Jarred and his fellow committee members helped raise an incredible $700,000 in support of BBBS KC's mission to provide mentorship and support for kids throughout our community.

Congratulations to the entire RISE committee on an amazing fundraising total — and a special congrats to Jarred, who has been named a RISE committee co-chair for 2027!
