This side of a very modern looking Lake Q home was another blank slate. The designer previously missed the sunlight during plant selection. We picked an average-dry part sun-shade mix of midwest native plants. The lush texture of sedges is now providing great w**d suppression and improving soil while feeding shade loving creatures. We demo’d this rotting wall to put in a boulder wall supporting a steep grade and 10 natural steps. The boulders were based lightly and placed on the bedrock 12”-2’ below demo grade. The e48 handled the 2000-3,000 lb bottom two boulders with ease. Railroad tie retaining walls AKA cancer walls are cheap walls that last 1/4 the time of proper block or stone walls and contain creosote, a known carcinogen. The soil was replaced and the plants will quickly remediate the soil this season. Please call us to Demo and install a stone wall at (913)660-2420
