Rogue Visual Design is a Kansas City based design firm that specializes in 3D Laser Scanning services for the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industries. 3D Laser Scanning (also known as reality capture, high-definition survey, or LiDAR) uses highly-accurate laser technology to digitally capture the shape, location, and dimensions of physical objects and environments in a non-contact

and non-destructive way. Rogue Visual Design is proud to be one of VERY few companies that focus solely on providing laser scanning and support services. Our single-focus allows us to develop expertise in utilizing the best of rapidly changing technologies paired with the most efficient procedures for your projects. Our team is led and staffed by engineers and designers with years of industry experience and bring a data-driven mind-set to every project. As engineers and designers ourselves, we know the information to gather; we know what questions to ask; and we know how to deliver the information so that it is quickly integrated and useful.Further, we are able to convert the laser scan to a BIM model for clients who want to extend the usefulness of the laser scans. Due to our range of experience, we are able to accurately model the architectural, structural, and mechanical systems to the client's required level of detail. Throughout history, major advancements have stirred questions about how it will change the way we work. Technological progression has given us powerful tools, and like any powerful tool, its value relies on the knowledge of the people using it.

A laser scanner can create a highly accurate digital representation of an existing space/structure. Understanding the data and applying it effectively requires experience and an understanding of the technology.

The most successful technological advancements do not replace human expertise or connection. It brings people together and gives them better tools to solve problems and share ideas.

So fear not! You don’t have to choose between new technology and traditional knowledge, you can have both.

Every August 26, we celebrate Women’s Equality Day, marking the certification of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which gave women the right to vote after decades of fighting for equality.
Today, equality also means creating opportunities for women in fields like science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Women continue to be underrepresented in STEM. Women make up about 35% of the U.S. STEM workforce. That includes the world of 3D laser/LiDAR scanning, engineering, and drafting.
We’re proud to be a woman-owned business led by Megan Ball.

Every location has something unique to discover, and much like the explorers who came before us, we believe that understanding the world starts with taking the time to see it. We have the opportunity to step into new environments, explore, and capture them in ways that preserve their story for years to come.

History is more than what we read in books; it is in the structures surrounding us. But time changes everything. Weather, age, development, and natural deterioration can slowly reshape the places that connect us to the past. Preserving these spaces requires accurate documentation and a clear understanding of what exists today.

3D laser scanning is a powerful tool for capturing the world around us. By creating detailed digital representations of buildings, environments, and structures, we help preserve important information that can be used for restoration, analysis, and planning for future generations.
