Nothing like a little friendly competition to bring the team together! 🌽🏆

Last Friday, the Schloegel team gathered with our families for an afternoon of good food, Betty Rae’s ice cream, plenty of laughs, and, of course, some serious co****le competition.

Congrats to our Co****le Champions, Cody Harding & Alex Moore! 🏆 And coming in hot in second place was the Gower father-son duo! 👏

A big thank-you to our Fun Committee for helping put it all together and to Chris for the BBQ! We’re always up for an excuse to get everyone together, and this one was a good time.

It started with an idea for a custom 22-foot dining table. Now, it’s becoming a whole new way to gather.

This Prairie Village home is getting a major transformation with a custom two-story addition designed around the way this family actually lives and entertains. We’re creating space for large gatherings, a new dining room centered around that incredible table, a statement fireplace, and an upstairs bunk room for family and friends.

And now, the vision is officially becoming a reality. Construction has begun.

Our latest chapter of Built for Gathering takes you behind the scenes, from the existing space and early demolition to the first steps of construction. It’s the beginning of a pretty incredible transformation, and we’ll be following this project all the way from construction to the final reveal.

🔨 We’re Hiring: Project Manager/Lead Carpenter

Do you know your way around a remodeling jobsite and know how to keep a project moving?

Schloegel Design Remodel is looking for an experienced Project Manager (what the remodeling industry often calls a Lead Carpenter) to join our Kansas City team.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll help lead remodeling projects from construction through completion—working alongside our designers, subcontractors, vendors, and homeowners to keep the project organized, on schedule, and up to Schloegel standards.

You’ll wear a few different hats, from construction knowledge and problem-solving to scheduling, communication, and creating an exceptional client experience. No two projects are exactly alike, and that’s part of the fun.

If you’re an experienced remodeler who takes pride in your craftsmanship, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of a team that cares about doing things right, we’d love to hear from you.

From finished to refined. ✨

This Loch Lloyd basement remodel was all about elevating what was already there. This meant creating a more sophisticated, cohesive space without losing the comfort and character that made the basement work in the first place.

The result is a beautifully neutral lower level with warm metals, custom details, a stunning Taj Mahal quartzite waterfall island, custom w**e displays and spaces designed for everyone to gather, relax and enjoy. 🤍

For the before & after photos, floor plans, and a closer look at the design details that brought this transformation together, check out our blog post: https://remodelagain.com/loch-lloyd-basement-remodel-elevating-an-already-finished-space/

The end of summer means back to school… and apparently, not just for the kids, but for the Schloegel production crew too. 🤓📚🔨

Our production team is brushing up on the important stuff: hammers, nails, and whatever else is on the syllabus. 😂

But jokes aside, one of our favorite things about Schloegel is the people. We work hard, learn from each other, celebrate the wins, and have a pretty good time along the way.

It’s part of what makes Schloegel a Best Place to Work in Kansas City, a title we’ve been lucky enough to earn multiple times.

And if you’re looking for a team where you can do great work and have some fun doing it, we’re hiring. 👀

School is back. Sports are starting. Activities are filling the calendar. And suddenly… where did all these SHOES come from? 🩴🥾🥿👟🛼😅

But a little organization can go a long way… Think built-in cubbies for each kiddo, hooks in the daily drop zone, shoe storage that actually has a place for everything, and cabinets or open shelving to keep the extras like pet supplies and mail tucked away. Sounds dreamy, right? 🥰😍

A well-designed mudroom, command center, or landing zone can turn the daily drop spot into a space that actually keeps up with your family… Because the best mudrooms don’t just look organized. They’re designed to handle real life.

This River Market condo kitchen had plenty of potential — it just wasn’t making the most of the space.

Instead of adding square footage, we rethought the layout, added custom cabinetry and a large island, created smarter storage and designed the kitchen around the way the homeowner actually uses the space.

And then came the fun part: bringing in bold color, warm wood tones, collected artwork and those unexpected red-orange architectural elements. 🎨🖼️

The result? A kitchen that works harder, feels more intentional and tells a story that is uniquely his. That’s design done right.
