The door you touch twice a day.

On the way out. On the way home.

It should be beautiful. It should be solid. It should feel like yours.

This is the story of a door I named Little Miss.

She was tired when she arrived at my shop.

This is her after weeks in my shop. Every spindle, every carving, every piece of hardware handled with respect for the craftsman who made it originally.

This is her now, at home in Utah. She belongs there.

Her story is personal to me. The door is named Little Miss in memory of my mother. As a child I watched Little House on the Prairie with my mom. My mother was killed in 1982. This door brought back sweet memories of time spent with my mother, but now Little Miss can make new memories with her new home and family.

Before Little Miss was finished, a woman in Utah claimed her. She was sick. Might have been dying. She didn’t care how long it took. She just wanted Little Miss.

Your door has a story too. Maybe you know it. Maybe we’ll find it together.

When you trust me to restore it, you’re letting me into your daily life. You’ll see my work every morning. You’ll come home to it every night. I honor that trust on every job.

That’s my promise to you.

I want to thank all of you who have recently followed this page. If I was a little more of a tecty I would post everything here, but I'm going to start trying more. I love the work i'm doing in restoring old doors. However I wished I listened more to my mom and learned how to play the piano. Not that, that would have changed my life and I would have been a rock star either seeing how I can't carry a tune. So I digress and discuss other idea's that run wild in my head. But I do plan to post more of my work here, so thanks for the follows.
I went to my photos to post my newest project but happened to catch sight of this old photo of my Mother. She was killed in 1982 by a gunman. Sorry I messed up her picture up with the backlight Miss you mom.

Saturday I found this Great Pyrenees in front of Lowe’s. He was matted and weak from the heat. He didn’t want to get in my car but with a bag of jerky he did. We found his chip and now he’s back home

I've been asked if I can do a Dutch door Here take a look. I did this one for a guy in North Dakoda, I thought it came out nice

I would post more pictures of doors and projects I have completed but I am yet to learn how to move my pics from my phone to my desktop. I'm working on it but when it comes to smartphones, well I not as smart.
