October is National Kitchen & Bath Month, and it feels like a good time to give some credit to all the people who make this work possible.

Beautiful kitchens and bathrooms do not come together because of one person or one decision. They take builders, designers, installers, delivery crews, cabinet manufacturers, countertop fabricators, vendors, trades, and clients who are willing to work through the details together.

And then there’s the unofficial design dream team behind the scenes, the everyday essentials that keep things moving and make life a little easier on the daily.

We’re grateful for the people, the tools, and the industry that help us turn ideas into spaces people get to live in every day.

Thank you!

Custom closets are in, and we’re here for it 🙌🏼

We spend so much time thinking about kitchen storage, but the closet is one of the hardest-working spaces in the house. If you’re already investing in cabinetry, why stop at the kitchen?

Better storage, smarter use of space, and everything designed around what you actually own and how you use it.

These progress pictures from our installer were too good not to share.

Thinking beyond the kitchen? Let’s design it together 💯

Take a second.

Actually, take as long as you want. This kitchen is 🔥

From the original design board to the finished space, this is why the planning matters. Every cabinet finish, countertop selection, hardware choice, and material detail had a place in the bigger picture long before install day.

The goal is never just to make one pretty selection.

It’s to make sure everything works together when the whole room is complete.

Cabinets and design in collaboration with Studio Aetheria 🤩 What a dream to work with 👏🏼👏🏼

I love getting to see a project once it’s fully finished and actually being used.

You’d think that would happen all the time, but by the time cabinetry is installed, homeowners are usually ready to move in and life takes over.

That made it extra fun to stop back by West Avalon Stone in Columbia Falls and see how this kitchen is working in their stone shop. And yes, you better believe I looked inside the cabinets to see how everything was organized 😜

A big thank you to Iron Mongers for the custom wall cabinet that fits the space beautifully, and to RD Henry for beautiful cabinetry we’re always proud to design with.

This is why slab selection is one of our favorite parts of the process. 🥰

Crystal Perola is such a beautiful choice for this kitchen, with soft movement, natural variation, and a translucent quality that can even be backlit for a completely different effect.

Seeing a stone like this in person makes all the difference. The color, veining, depth, and light movement are what take it from a countertop selection to a true design feature.

We’re excited to see this one come to life.

October is National Kitchen & Bath Month, so we’re kicking things off with a few of our favorite fall kitchen essentials.

Nothing too serious, just a few cozy finds we love for making the kitchen feel a little warmer this time of year.

And all month long, we’ll be sharing more kitchen and bath design ideas, storage solutions, remodel inspiration, and the details that make these spaces work better every day.

Such a fun way to kick off Parade of Homes weekend.

A huge thank you to all of the VIP Bus Tour sponsors who helped make the day happen. Our bus was sponsored by Farmers State Bank, and the poker run made touring the homes even more fun.

There was so much thought, planning, and work behind this year’s Parade of Homes, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it such a great weekend for our building community.

Thank you to the Flathead Building Association, the sponsors, builders, trades, volunteers, and everyone who showed up to support it.

Can't wait for next year!

BEST KITCHEN 🏆

Bringing back the Reimagined Remodel category for Parade of Homes this year was such a cool addition, and being part of the Lake Blaine project alongside Iron Star Construction made it even better!

This kitchen was the result of a lot of planning, collaboration, and thoughtful decisions, so seeing it recognized with Best Kitchen is such an honor.

We’re proud of this project, grateful for the team behind it, and pretty excited to finally share more of the finished space.

This home also took home Best Transformation 🏆 What a stunner 👏🏼👏🏼

Before a home is ready for Parade of Homes, it’s still a jobsite, sometimes up until the deadline 😅

Cabinets are being installed, details are being checked, decisions are being finalized, and every trade is doing their part to bring the finished space together.

We love this stage because it’s where all the hard work pays off!

Double R Design Studio is excited to be part of one of this year’s Reimagined Remodels with Iron Star Construction, and we can’t wait for you to see this beautiful home.
