Jackola is a full-service Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, Land-Use Planning, Interior Design, Surveying, Master

Planning, Graphic Design & Assessments firm serving the Pacific Northwest, Northern Rockies & Northern Plains. As an integrated team of designers, engineers, planners and technical specialists, we help clients shape the built environment through practical solutions, thoughtful planning and a people-first approach that keeps long-term community impact at the center of every decision. Our multidisciplinary structure allows us to support projects from the earliest stages โ€” including land-use planning, feasibility evaluation, site assessments and master planning โ€” all the way through architectural design, engineering of building systems, infrastructure development, permitting, construction documentation and construction-phase support. Working with a coordinated team gives clients clearer communication, more efficient workflows and a smoother, more predictable path from concept to completion. Across the region, we partner with public agencies, tribal governments, private developers, nonprofits, educational institutions, healthcare providers and community-focused organizations. Our work spans new construction, renovations, adaptive reuse, facilities planning, community-serving buildings, commercial and industrial developments, housing solutions, and complex sites requiring multidisciplinary expertise. No matter the project scale, we focus on outcomes that balance functionality, durability, aesthetics, cost-efficiency and long-term stewardship. We believe strong communities are built through collaboration โ€” not just with clients, but with stakeholders, neighborhoods, review agencies, and the people who will ultimately use and occupy the spaces we design. Our process emphasizes clarity and transparency: helping clients understand options, anticipate challenges, refine priorities and make confident decisions. By uniting architecture, engineering, surveying and planning under one roof, we bring a holistic perspective to every project, considering land, systems, people, context, culture and community needs as interconnected parts of a larger vision. From infrastructure and utilities to building systems and interior environments, our team brings technical depth across multiple disciplines โ€” enabling us to address site constraints, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements and community goals simultaneously. This integrated approach reduces project risk, streamlines communication, and ensures consistency from early concepts through construction. At Jackola, our mission is simple: design meaningful places that strengthen communities across the Pacific Northwest, Northern Rockies and Northern Plains. Every project is an opportunity to solve challenges creatively, support regional growth responsibly, and help clients bring their vision to life with clarity and confidence. We are honored to support the places people call home โ€” today and for generations to come.

A strong school is an investment that keeps giving back to its community. ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ”๏ธ

More than a decade ago, the Whitefish community came together around a vision for the future of Whitefish High School. After years of planning, community involvement and pursuing alternative funding, voters approved a $14 million bond that helped make a major renovation and expansion possible.

The result was much more than additional space.

Working alongside DLR Group, the project transformed approximately 135,000 SF to create new science and chemistry classrooms, construction trades and consumer science spaces, special education classrooms, a music and arts technology center, black box theater, library and media center, cafeteria, administration areas and more.

The school even remained operational throughout construction, requiring careful phasing as old and new came together.

Today, these spaces continue supporting academics, career and technical education, music, arts, athletics and opportunities for students throughout Whitefish and the Flathead Valley.

It's a great example of what long-term planning and community investment in education can accomplish. ๐Ÿ’™

Something exciting is taking shape in Columbia Falls. ๐Ÿ’™

Glacier Bank is investing in a new branch on its existing Nucleus Avenue site. The current building and property will be completely reimagined with improved access, updated parking and a planned community plaza.

Glacier Bank has served Northwest Montana since 1955, growing alongside the families, businesses and communities that call the Flathead Valley home. This new branch reflects that same long-term commitment, giving its Columbia Falls team room to continue building local relationships and supporting the community well into the future.

Weโ€™re excited to watch this next chapter move from rendering to reality. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ

๐ŸŽญ Some places don't just host performances. They become part of a community's identity.

The Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts has been doing exactly that for years. From sold-out productions to unforgettable performances, it has become a gathering place where neighbors, visitors, and artists come together to celebrate the performing arts.

As audiences continued to grow, the facility evolved with a larger lobby, expanded concessions, an updated exterior, and behind-the-scenes improvements that create a more welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive until the final curtain call.

Today, the theater continues to be a vibrant part of downtown Bigfork, enriching the community through the arts and creating lasting memories for everyone who walks through its doors.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ If you haven't experienced a performance here yet, it's well worth adding to your list. Explore upcoming shows here: https://www.bigforkcenter.org/upcoming-performances.html

If you've driven into Kalispell from the south, chances are you've passed The Forum more times than you can count.

For more than 20 years, it's been one of those buildings that just feels like part of the community. Its signature archway has welcomed people into Southfield Park while connecting to Lion's Park, and over the years it's become home to businesses that help keep our local economy moving.

Some buildings make an impression because they're new. Others earn it by quietly standing the test of time.

The Forum is one of those places.

It's always fun to look back at projects that have become part of the fabric of our community.

Nearly a decade later, this Kalispell facility continues to serve patients throughout the Flathead Valley as the home of Greater Montana Oral & Dental Implant Surgery. ๐Ÿฆท๐Ÿ”๏ธ

The 3,400-square-foot space was thoughtfully designed around specialized patient care, with four operatories, two recovery rooms, and dedicated spaces for imaging, sterilization, anesthesia, and other essential services.

Even the site was planned with the future in mind, making the most of limited property boundaries while creating an opportunity for additional development next door.

Looking back at the original rendering alongside the completed building is a great reminder of what thoughtful planning can do: create a place that continues to serve its community year after year.
