Winter is coming. Is your chimney ready?

Older chimneys can be especially vulnerable to Montana’s snow, rain, and freeze-thaw cycles. A properly installed metal chimney cap helps keep moisture out and protects the top of the chimney from the elements.
We recently installed this custom metal chimney cap to help weatherproof and protect this existing chimney before winter sets in.

If you have an older chimney, now is a great time to make sure it’s properly protected before the snow starts flying.

Today’s checklist:
✔️ Remove a few restroom parts that are no longer necessary
✔️ Perfect the art of literally laying down on the job
✔️ Rock the super cool shades from Milwaukee Tool 😎
✔️ Strap on the Energizer headlamp so you can actually see what you’re doing 🔦
✔️ Get it done right

🛠️ Basement Egress Window — FINISHED!

From an undersized basement window to a proper egress window and well, bringing the space up to code.

This project included installing the new window, creating the required window well, and finishing everything out for a clean, functional result.

One detail you may notice: the homeowner asked us to leave the drywall unfinished. Since this area will likely be part of a future project, we left it open so the next phase can be completed when they’re ready.

It may not be the flashiest transformation, but projects like this make a big difference in the safety, functionality, and value of a home.

A little excavation, a bigger opening, and a whole lot more potential.

The Bishop Builders crew is creating space for a new egress window well and cutting the foundation wall for a larger window. Once complete, this basement will have more natural light, improved safety, and a brighter, more comfortable feel.

It’s the behind-the-scenes work that makes a big difference in how a home functions.

✨ A Fresh New Look with Custom Details ✨

This remodel was all about transforming the space while keeping it warm, functional, and uniquely tailored to the homeowner’s style.

🔨 What we updated:
• Removed the existing vertical wood shiplap from the kitchen island, pantry walls, and staircase wall
• Installed beautiful new horizontal white fir shiplap from with a custom color match
• Added custom pantry shelving for improved organization and storage
• Enhanced the pantry with an etched glass door for an elegant finishing touch
• Updated outlets and switches to complement the new gray wood walls
• Installed a new staircase ledge, perfect for displaying favorite décor and keepsakes
• Added a new wood stair railing cap to seamlessly tie the entire space together

The result? A refreshed, cohesive design that blends craftsmanship, functionality, and custom character throughout the home.
