Sometimes an exterior project starts because something needs attention, but it can also become an opportunity to give the home a little more personality.

Storm damage to the soffit and areas of rotted fascia brought this homeowner to Pennings Handyman. Our team repaired the damaged areas and updated the soffit and fascia so the home was protected and looking good again.

The homeowner also chose to add a bold red finish to the fascia. It definitely gives the house a new pop of color and makes those rooflines stand out.

The important part is that this homeowner was able to take care of needed repairs while also making the finished result feel like their own.

Project update: These photos were taken while the project was still in its final stage. The remaining white section of fascia will be painted to match, and a few final paint touchups are still to come.

This homeowner did not need a full bathroom remodel. They needed a few important problems solved so the room could feel fresh, comfortable, and easier to maintain.

The ceiling paint was flaking from moisture, so our team repaired & painted the ceiling and added an exhaust fan to help control moisture going forward. We also removed the wallpaper, cleaned up and freshly painted the walls, updated the vanity top, and installed new fixtures.

The result is not a completely different bathroom. It is the same bathroom, updated to work better for the homeowner and feel much brighter and fresher.

That is a big part of what Pennings Handyman is here for. Sometimes you do not need to start over. You just need the right improvements in the right places.

Another small update that makes a big difference in safety.

We added cast iron handrails to the back step to give the homeowner something sturdy to hold onto when coming in and out of the house.

The new rails add extra support while still fitting nicely with the home.

A simple improvement that makes everyday use a little easier and safer.

Sometimes a kitchen does not need a full remodel to feel completely different.

For this Pennings Handyman project, the homeowner wanted to keep the existing cabinets and give the space a fresh new look. We painted the cabinets, added new hardware, installed new countertops, and helped bring everything together for a much brighter and more updated feel.

The before and after photos show how much of a difference these changes can make without starting over from scratch.

Safety upgrades do not have to look temporary.

Our team built this custom gate for the top of the basement stairs, replacing the previous fabric barrier with a sturdy solution that fits naturally with the surrounding trim and finishes.

A practical improvement that adds safety without taking away from the look of the home. Great work by our team!

Sometimes a home update is about more than appearance, it is about making everyday life easier.

For this project, our team relocated the washer and dryer into the primary walk-in closet to provide easier access and a more convenient laundry setup. These before, progress, and finished photos show the work that went into making the new space possible.

Front entry refresh!

We removed and replaced the front entry door and storm door, then finished it off with new outdoor carpet on the entry stoop. A clean update that makes the entrance look fresh and welcoming again.
