Sealing cracks helps keep radon from entering the basement and allows the radon system to work more effectively. With fewer openings, the system can pull from a larger area beneath the floor instead of pulling conditioned basement air through open cracks.

Sealing these openings will also reduce energy loss from the home saving💰over the lifetime of a radon fan.
