I had the best fishing guide on the lake this morning. Owen took me to a secrete spot and I was able to catch (4) walleye. Owen reeled in a 10’ stick. A bunch of us went ATV sightseeing, found a cool bridge to take a picture with Buzz over a cool river!

Made it to Canada. Lost a boat trailer wheel bearing, Dad, mark, and I got it fixed. Bruce’s boat trailer broke in half Owen borrowed a welder from the camp owner and we found enough tools and enough Mlsna’s to get it patched backer together. Owen and Preston got stranded on the opposite side of the lake with a dead battery, somehow he got service and Life360 marked his location for Bruce, Dad and I to rescue them…. After a picture of course. So far it’s been a good start, anything that broke has been fixable!

To say I’m proud of my boys is an understatement this week. We prepped, and poured concrete for our driveway this week. It was full sun almost every minute we worked. All concrete is 5.5” minimum thickness, 2’x2’ rebar grid, all doweled into existing slabs. We had to battle a stray dog running through our first truck of concrete right as it was ready for grooming, while unloading the second truck. Just under 35 yds and it turned out pretty nice. Elijah battled an extra week of school work in between us needed him, and Owen is a damn beast. Just a couple more small sections and cut the curbs and redo the approach and we can check it off the list!

Most of the bathroom remodels we do are life changing for the customers. Weather it’s an accessible bathroom for a child or adding laundry to main level like this, they change people’s lives. This elderly customer wanted main floor laundry so they gave up the bathtub for a shower and allowed us to steal a little extra space from the master closet to make every thing fit. If anyone has ever tried to move the GE washer/ dryer you know that thing is 400 #. It was quite the task to get this in place without damaging anything. We also installed all water shut offs under the bathroom vanity incase they are ever needed to be turned off. With the weight of the machine and tight cabinet no one will ever get to them if needed. This should save them many unsafe trips to the basement if they can figure out how to operate it!

Everyone that knows Owen knows he is a kid with very little displayed emotions! Mom found a photoshop page and had one of Owen’s state championship photos shopped up a little bit. I of course had to get a 2’x3’ poster made for his room! I can only hope this is what he felt like inside (i know we did as parents) but showing nothing more than a smile on his face!

It’s been a hard year to hunt with the heat, wind, cold and snow. Owen puts in all the minutes he can and again has enough patients to make this year’s hunt memorable again! I took a small buck with a broken rack last night and Owen out did me this year…. His buck has mine by 3 points! Damn we have fun, and we have something to talk about every year even if it’s small horns!
