20 years separate these photographs.

The first was taken in 2006, when we planted a memorial tree for the late Rev. William E. Akehurst, recognizing his lifelong commitment to the landscape profession, his pastoral service and his family.

The second was taken this year, as we planted a commemorative tree in honor of our 150th year in business.

While separated by two decades, both trees share a common purpose: marking milestones that have shaped our company's history and values.

From honoring the people who built our foundation to celebrating the legacy that continues today, these living landmarks remind us that great things take root over time.

Yesterday, we celebrated 150 years in business with a company-wide picnic. From a delicious taco lunch and numerous raffle prizes to planting a commemorative tree, it was a great day to reflect on our history and recognize the people who continue to drive our success.

Akehurst Landscape Service is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Account Manager to join our team! Position available at our Halethorpe location.

If you’re a relationship-builder who takes pride in delivering exceptional service, leading teams, and helping clients get the most from their landscape investment, we’d love to hear from you.

🌱 What you’ll do:
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Oversee commercial landscape maintenance accounts
• Lead teams and ensure quality service
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
• Work with clients to create exceptional outdoor environments
