As the owner of ComfortMax Heating and Cooling, I want to share something I've seen far too often in our community.

Many homeowners are understandably looking for ways to save money and end up choosing the cheapest HVAC company they can find. Unfortunately, I've met countless people who later discovered that the low price came with hidden costs such as poor workmanship, unnecessary repairs, inferior equipment, or companies that simply don't stand behind their work.

Another great day of the ComfortMax Heating and Cooling team coming together for our quarterly Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! Our employees, friends, and family members showed up in force to clean the 1.5-mile stretch from Rt. 52 & River Rd. to Rt. 52 & Baltz Rd.

Fun fact: last year alone, volunteers from ComfortMax collected more than 60 bags of garbage along this same stretch of road — plus countless large items including doors, house wrap, metal pipes, fenders, bumpers, car parts, and much more. Every cleanup helps protect the environment we all share, including the wildlife living in the trees and brush nearby.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers and to everyone who honked, waved, and thanked us along the way. Community support means everything, and we’re proud to continue doing our part to help keep our local neighborhoods clean and beautiful!

Ron has been with Comfort Max for about a year and a half, and in that time, he’s taken on more responsibility while continuing to learn the trade every day.

He got into HVAC through trade school, drawn to hands-on work and the opportunity to build real skills. One of his proudest moments so far was completing his first install independently, a milestone every technician remembers.

One thing he quickly realized is that even small issues in a system can lead to bigger problems if they’re ignored. It’s also not always as simple as it looks — there’s a lot more that goes into pricing and diagnosing systems than most people expect.

What he enjoys most is the variety. From AC work in the summer to furnace season in the winter, every day brings something different.

Outside of work, he values work/life balance, has watched *The Office* more times than he can count, and has a goal of visiting every MLB stadium one day.

Fun fact: if he had a superpower, it would be reading minds… which might make diagnostics a little easier 😅
