Welcome, Rory! We’re excited to welcome Rory Wiebel, LEED AP, to The Hansen Company as our new Director of Construction for Eastern Iowa!

With 23 years of construction experience, Rory brings extensive industry knowledge and a long history of relationships throughout Eastern Iowa. His experience spans corporate, multifamily, K-12, municipal, higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, senior living, manufacturing, and recreation projects.

As The Hansen Company continues to grow in Eastern Iowa, Rory will help strengthen our relationships and expand our ability to serve clients and partners throughout the region. We’re excited to have him on the team and look forward to what’s ahead! Welcome to Hansen, Rory!

The latest option to save the life of a baby in a compassionate, caring, dignified way for mothers in crisis who are unable to care for their newborns is officially online in the City of Windsor Heights, Iowa. Through the generous underwriting by the Knights of Columbus Council #10558, St. Augustin Parish, Des Moines, IA , along with many other donors and volunteers, the Windsor Heights (Iowa) Fire Department is home to the metro's latest Safe Haven Baby Boxes. Volunteers, community leaders, and concerned citizens gathered for the blessing and official opening of the life-saving unit.

A decade in the making, the transformation of the historic Financial Center in downtown Des Moines is now officially the Mezzo On Walnut residential tower. As Lawmark Capital and community leaders gathered to celebrate this historic achievement, visitors enjoyed tours, live music, and the unveiling of the latest dsm Magazine 's coveted People issue. It took a small village for this project to happen but a special thanks to Lawmark, Slingshot Architecture , Confluence - Landscape Architecture , and KEDbluestone among many other dedicated team members to turn this tall task into a reality.

A legend may have left the building...but his buildings remain something to marvel. Mark Ketchum is hanging up his hard hat and retiring from the world of construction to enjoy life, grandkids, and free time after a long and illustrious career as a superintendent. Over the years, Mark has been involved in numerous high-profile and impactful projects, including LifeServe Blood Center, the City of Johnston Government City Hall, and Mezzo on Walnut, to name a few. Thank you, Mark, for your service, your dedication, and your tremendous work effort. We wish you nothing but the best!
