Sometimes laying out the welcome mat means thinking about a visitor’s experience all the way from the parking lot to the front door, and the canopy for the BCS Family of Companies is the perfect finishing touch this project needed.

Thanks again to Blackburn, Childers & Steagall PLC and the BCS Family of Companies for the opportunity to design this project and to Burleson Construction Company, Inc for the faithful design & build partnership.

The EHS Athletics Complex is a project years-in-the-making for Elizabethton High School and TWA has been proud to continually partner with the school system project-after-project.

Built in 2015, the Citizen’s Bank Stadium is a new 4,000 seat stadium facility designed to act as a multi-use complex for football, soccer, and marching band activities, as well as community events. Featuring turf playing field, restroom and concession facilities, parking improvements and integrated artist work and environmental graphics, the design creates the perfect environment for school spirit and athletic showcase.

Following the stadium, in 2016 TWA completed the design and construction of a 14,200 square foot Band & Choral Room addition and classroom renovation, whose main feature is a shared open floor space that can be rearranged for either band or choral practice. Adjacent to the main room, ensemble rooms, offices, a workroom and support spaces round out the addition, while across the new extended height connector hall, the old choral room was transformed into four new instructional classrooms, expanding the school's current educational offerings. The result is a reward for current students and an opportunity for aspiring artists.

Recently completed in 2025, the Dave Rider Center for Athletic Performance ups the ante for EHS’s athletic-forward student body boasting a full-size practice gym, 50-yard turf practice field and extensive weight-training room with support areas and acting as a hub for student use for both competitive practice and general physical education. The single-pitched roof line, translucent side panels, and colorful interior structure offer an avenue for both form and function - a building that serves immense purpose while blending into the branded aesthetic of campus life.

These multiple projects spanning over ten years have made progress on EHS’s campus masterplan in an effort to train and accommodate the next wave of “Betsy” students. For full project details, visit our website.

Yancey from Ben O’Neil Company dropped by on this rainy day with the from to show us a thing or two about freshening up our restroom and accessory specs. Additions like new finishes, magnetic service openers, and their multi-feed soap system are small changes that make a big difference to the end user. Not to mention the all-in-one eyewash station for schools and other safety environments 😍 We love it when form meets function!

We’re busy bees on and off the job site and it’s great to be a part of the T-E-A-M that makes these events happen!

The Pavilion at Founders Park was designed to compliment two historic train depots and an adjacent flood mitigation park in the heart of downtown and is the home to farmers markets, downtown festivals, and community events. Part of a downtown revitalization project where there once was a vacant lot, TWA envisioned an open air covered concourse offering electrical and restroom facilities and covered parking perfect for hosting vendors, community, and other gatherings. The masonry piers and laminated arches mimic the timeless look of depots that inspired the structure, while modern additions like oversized fans and LED lighting bring the design into its current time. The design also provided new landscaping, pedestrian access, and over 100 parking spaces, where they are at a premium. The pavilion not only serves as a functional and central meeting point between the east and west sides of main street, but it also has become the backdrop of community life in Downtown Johnson City.
