Today we broke ground on our first build since Chris gained his angel wings. Our lead pool builder Pablo immediately stopped digging to stop and take this picture. 🤍

For those of you that don’t know, I’m Tara. I was blessed to work for Chris for the past 3 years and I sure wish it was alot longer. I’ve always done a lot of the Facebook posting and it’s something I love but I’ve started to make this post and then deleted it several times today because it makes everything that’s happened feel so much more real, there’s no words to describe what these next few pools are going to mean to his family and everyone here at East Coast Pools.

The reality is that these are going to be the last few pool builds Chris Teston designed. And tho our hearts are aching we couldn’t be more proud and honored to do this in his honor, to continue on his legacy. For those that don’t know, Chris started in the pool business at 19 years old. Wow! The years invested into this. The same age as Jake!

From today on, we will do our best to bring his visions to life with the same drive, determination, skill, and everything that made it an East Coast Pool by Chris Teston.

Please keep all of us in your prayers for the days ahead, specifically that these builds will be done perfectly, without worry and just as we know Chris would want!

Hours are Monday-Saturday 7:45am-5:30pm and most Saturdays throughout the spring & summer! 🏊‍♂️

From Dad

Christopher, words could never fully capture what it has meant to be your father. One of my greatest blessings was not only raising you, but getting the opportunity to spend so much of life beside you. Working together every day at East Coast Pool gave me something many fathers never get — countless ordinary moments that became some of my most treasured memories. The long days, the conversations, the laughs, and even the hard times are memories I will carry forever.

I watched you struggle through difficult seasons, make mistakes, learn lessons, and fight through challenges that life put in front of you. But what stands out the most is the man you became. I had the privilege of watching a young boy grow into an exceptional man — strong, passionate, hardworking, and full of heart. You never let hardship define you. Instead, you grew because of it.

One thing I always admired about you was the way you loved people. You cared deeply and loved with your whole heart. You had a way of making people feel seen and important, and you would give what you had to help someone else without thinking twice. That kind of heart cannot be taught — it was simply who you were.

I think about your love for animals and how it started when you were just a young boy. You always had a soft spot for anything that needed care, protection, or kindness. That compassion stayed with you your entire life and reflected the kind of person you became.

More than anything, I want you to know how proud I am — proud of the man you became, proud of your strength, proud of your heart, and proud to call you my son. Watching your journey was one of the greatest honors of my life. I would give anything for one more day beside you, but I thank God for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we shared.

I love you always, son. That love never ends.

Today we celebrate one of East Coast’s very own Wayne county high school graduates Jake Adams!! Jake is the youngest son of owners Chris and Miranda Teston! He is truly one of the best young men around! He has a heart of gold and works so hard! Jake has recently “dipped his toes” into the pool business and we can’t wait to see where the future takes him! We love you Jake, and we are all so proud of you! CONGRATULATIONS, you did it! 🎓 💛 🖤
