Another major shift in the boiler industry.
Less than a year after Triangle Tube and its sister company Ideal Heating North America ceased operations in November 2025, another major manufacturer is announcing its exit from the North American hydronic boiler business.
Bosch Home Comfort has announced plans to discontinue its residential and commercial boiler lines, including Greenstar, Singular, SSB, cast-iron boilers, indirect tanks, radiators, and related accessories.
This is becoming a trend worth paying attention to.
The heating industry is changing quickly. Manufacturers are putting more focus on air-based heating and heat pumps, while the number of companies committed to the traditional boiler market continues to shrink.
For homeowners with existing boiler systems, this does not mean boilers are disappearing tomorrow. There are still several strong boiler manufacturers in the market, and properly installed hydronic heating remains an excellent way to heat a Vermont home.
But for contractors and homeowners planning a system replacement, manufacturer stability, parts availability, technical support, and long-term serviceability matter more than ever.
At Green Heat, we’ll continue watching these changes closely and recommending equipment that we believe can be supported for the long haul—not simply whatever happens to be available today.
The boiler isn’t dead. But the boiler market is definitely changing.
