Some projects are bigger than business.
For years, weâve believed that God doesnât just give us gifts to make a livingâHe gives us gifts to serve others.
When our friends at Derby City BMX finally completed the registration building theyâd been saving for and working toward for nearly 10 years, we knew we wanted to be part of it.
So we donated the flooring.
This wasnât your typical concrete slab, either. The building was built over plywood, which meant the system had to be designed differently to handle movement over time. Every seam was reinforced with a high-elongation epoxy repair compound, followed by a flexible polyurea basecoat, a broadcast coat locked in with an 85% solids polyaspartic clear, and finished with our long-working-time polyaspartic topcoat.
The result is a floor thatâs durable, easy to clean, and built to handle years of muddy shoes, bike tires, and countless kids walking through those doors.
But if weâre honest, the floor isnât what mattered most.
Over the past few months, weâve fallen in love with the people who make up the Derby City BMX community. Itâs the kind of place where families look after one another, volunteers give countless hours, and complete strangers become lifelong friends. We simply wanted to use what weâve been blessed to do to help strengthen something thatâs already making a difference.
âEach of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, faithfully administering Godâs grace in its various forms.â â 1 Peter 4:10
Thank you, Derby City BMX, for letting us play a small part in your story. We canât wait to watch thousands of memories be made on this floor.
