🏠A Project We Won’t Forget🛠️
This one has been a long time coming.
After months of work, changes, problem-solving, long days, and a whole lot of learning, we’ve officially wrapped up one of the largest remodeling projects our team has taken on.
This home has been in the homeowners’ family for a long time, and this project was about much more than simply making it look new. The goal was to update the home while preserving a place that already held years of memories.
A major part of that was accessibility.
Their son uses a wheelchair full-time, so many of the decisions throughout this remodel were made around making the home easier to navigate, safer, and more functional for him and the entire family.
One of the biggest transformations was the downstairs bathroom.
This wasn’t just a new shower, tile, and fixtures. The bathroom had to be completely reworked around accessibility. We lowered the floor for easier access, opened the concrete to reroute and add plumbing, changed framing for a wider entry, and rebuilt the space into an accessible wet-room style bathroom.
It was one of the most involved parts of the entire project, and seeing where that room started compared to where it finished is something we’re extremely proud of.
The rest of the downstairs was transformed as well, including the bedroom and living areas, along with major plumbing, drywall, flooring, electrical, framing, and repair work.
Upstairs, work continued through the bathroom, living areas, bedrooms, hallways, kitchen, and utility spaces with new flooring, drywall, paint, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, electrical, lighting, trim, and accessibility improvements.
When you look at the finished pictures now, it’s easy to see the new floors, tile, cabinets, paint, and fixtures.
What you don’t see is everything underneath it — the concrete that had to be opened, plumbing below the floors, electrical behind the walls, framing and layout changes, unexpected repairs, and countless decisions made along the way.
This project challenged us more than we expected.
There were things we underestimated. There were situations we had never dealt with on this scale before. There were plenty of times we had to stop, rethink something, and figure out the best way forward.
And we learned a lot.
Those lessons will make us better on every large remodel we take on from here.
Through all of it, our team kept showing up, kept solving problems, and kept working toward the same goal — finishing this home for the family that trusted us with it.
We’re proud of the finished product, proud of everyone who had a hand in getting it across the finish line, and grateful to the homeowners for trusting us with a home that means so much to their family.
Sometimes remodeling is about making something look new.
And sometimes it’s about taking a home filled with years of family history and making sure it can continue to work for the people who call it home.
We’re proud to finally call this one complete.
