Green is having a modern revival. Walnut, a timeless classic. Balanced with chic, modern brass accents, antique mirror and a salvaged leaded window thoughtfully combine this classic craftsman homes charm with a modern touch. 🤎

It was one room all along. The cabinetry divided it, and what was left to work in was small. 🤎

The kitchen was very dated when we started. Moving the storage out to the perimeter and into the tall run gave the middle of the room back, which is the whole reason the island lands where it does.

Dark wood, soft putty, and counters that stay clear because everything has somewhere to go.

We have worked on enough older homes to know that things may not always be as they appear.

Framing, plumbing or electrical may have been modified, remodeled or "fixed" by someone who may or may not have known what they were doing or that may not meet modern code standards. That's not a reason to avoid remodeling or purchasing an older home, but it should motivate you to hire the right firm.

A big part of our job before the first wall comes down is due diligence. We investigate existing conditions, identify potential conflicts, and plan for what the house is likely to hand us once it's opened up.

You can't eliminate every surprise in renovation. But experience and proper due diligence can keep most surprises from becoming setbacks.

Your designer says one thing. Your contractor says another. And you end up in the middle.

That is the part of remodeling nobody warns you about. You are not just choosing finishes, you are refereeing between two companies who have never worked together, usually at 7am with a crew standing there waiting.

We work differently. We have a trusted network of designers, and we connect each client with the right one for their project, their style and their budget. You do not have to go find a designer, vet them, and then coordinate the two of us yourself.

And once the work starts, we stay involved in making sure the design and the construction actually line up.
