Today was concrete day on the new spec house. We’ve been dancing with rain clouds for weeks now. Can’t rely on anything when it comes to weather forecast🙄 Even though we stayed kinda dry this weekend, we had a heavy dew this morning. Wet grass and concrete trucks don’t mix. What a morning….stuck like chuck a couple of times….LAWDY. Felt like we were wrestling pregnant whales on dry land. Perseverance was key along with help from several friends, we got it DONE. Glad to see this baby started finally🤦‍♀️💥

It has been a REALLY wet spring🤷‍♀️🏡😅. Everything is GREEN. I’m living on the lawn mower again. With this larger tract of land that we are building the new spec on, i had to bust out the big boy and use the bush hog. When I was younger, I helped my dad plant wheat ground and my Grandpoppa with ploughing cotton. Have to admit, It’s been a hot minute since I’ve driven a tractor, but thanks to some of my rowdy friends I got a little training. It’s like riding a bike. 💋❤️

Jim and I celebrated our anniversary yesterday. We’ve enjoyed a lot of things over the years, but I guess the “one thing” we hold dear besides family and friends, is building homes. Currently we are starting a new spec home. With builders, everything is “for sale”. This property is pulling at my heart a little bit. I love its location, its beauty, its spacious appeal and its possibilities. We are building a 4 bedroom/4 bath with huge back porch for entertainment. Home will have exterior and interior fireplaces.
